It has been three years since the world lost Cory Monteith, who played Finn Hudson, our favorite singing quarterback, on the hit show Glee, but fans and friends will never let his memory be forgotten.
Cory died on July 13th, 2013 of a drug overdose in his hotel room. Glee had planned to start the filming for it’s next season before the actor’s tragic death. As a tribute to Cory and his character Finn, and probably one of the most heartbreaking television episodes to watch ever, the Glee cast and fans said goodbye in a memorial episode to Finn/Cory.
Cory was dating co-star and on-screen, on-again/off-again girlfriend, Lea Michele, at the time of his death. Lea has made sure to never let his memory be forgotten since his death. She most recently had the number 5 tattooed on her, which was Cory’s football number as Finn in the TV series.
To help keep Cory’s memory alive, especially on the anniversary of his death, many users on different social media sites remembered him with #3YearsWithoutCory. Lea posted what was definitely the most heartfelt of them all on Instagram. Many of his other Glee co-stars followed suit and posted their tributes as well. See the posts now:
