The wait for the 2015 Winter X-Games is almost over!!
In just 2 short days, the athletes will begin their quest for a spot on the podium in snowboard, ski and snowmobile competitions and CelebSecrets4U will be heading over to Aspen, Colorado to keep you guys filled in on all the fun.
Here is our predictions on who will be victorious in taking home the medals for Men’s and Women’s Snowboarder X
Men’s Snowboarder X:
1st place: Seth Wescott – Wescott always gives it his all when he is on the slopes. He had suffered knee and shoulder injuries in previous years that stopped him from attending previous years X-Games, but he is ready to come back and prove to everyone that he is as good as ever. His hard work and excitement of returning will serve as huge motivation to take home the gold this year.
2nd place: Pierre Vaultier – Vaultier has been working extremely hard and has improved his placement in the X-Games each year he participates. In 2012, he placed 5th in Snowboarder X category, so we think he’s striving for a spot on the podium this year. Vaultier also snagged the gold medal in snowboard cross last year in Sochi, so this gives us a feeling that he will continue his hot streak with a silver medal at this year’s X Games.
3rd: Nick Baumgartner – Placing 2nd and first in the 2012 and 2013 games, respectively, Baumgartner definitely has what it takes to be on that podium for Sonwboarder X this week in Aspen. Even though Nick came in 8th place in 2014, we feel that Baumgartner will definitely be prepared to take home a medal, particularly bronze, this year.
Women’s Snowboarder X:
1st place: Lindsey Jacobellis – Jacobellis is the queen of Snowboarder X! One of the X Games’ most decorated athletes, Jacobellis will be fighting hard to keep her title this week making us think she will take home the gold medal for 6th year in a row.
2nd: Eva Samkova – Samkova is likely to place silver as she did last year at the X-Games. Even though Eva won gold in Sochi last February, we feel that Lindsey Jacobellis will still be in that #1 spot, bumping Samkova down to second place.
3rd: Dominique Maltias – Maltias placed second in Sochi right after Samkova so we’re guessing it’s going to be a close call between both athletes, but we predict Maltias will win the bronze this year.
