Denver Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy may need Judge Judy after this incident.
The 23-year-old was arrested Thursday afternoon following a domestic dispute with his girlfriend. Jeudy reportedly locked his girlfriend’s wallet and medical papers in a car and refused to unlock the door when she tried to flee to Virginia. Jeudy has a child with the woman.
“Professional football player Jerry Jeudy has been arrested by Arapahoe Co. sheriff deputies,” the sheriff’s office tweeted. “He’s being held at the Arapahoe Co. jail on charges of 2nd degree criminal tampering w/a domestic violence enhancer, a misdemeanor. He’s on a no bond hold. He’s innocent until proven guilty.”
According to the sheriff’s office, Jeudy was arrested between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. MT, shortly after the incident occurred. Jeudy was officially charged with “criminal tampering with a domestic violence enhancer,” though no physical violence is known to have occurred. He is being held without bond, as in the state of Colorado, domestic violence cases require a court appearance before the suspect can be released from jail.

The Denver Broncos acknowledged the incident, stating in an official statement, ”We are aware of the matter involving Jerry Jeudy and are in the process of gathering more information.”
Jeudy’s young career has not been off to a stellar start, as he struggled with dropped balls during his rookie season, and missed a large portion of last season after he sprained his ankle. Looking to make a comeback, this arrest does not exactly do Jeudy justice.
