Derrick Milano Gushes on Showcasing His Relationship with Blac Chyna on Season 6 of “Love & Hip-Hop: Miami” (Exclusive)

Love & Hip-Hop: Miami is officially back on our TV screens for a sixth season, and it’s set to bring the heat with its drama and new cast members.

According to the network, the upcoming episodes are promised to follow “the personal reinventions, professional wins, and the shifting sands of love and fame in the blinding lights of the 305″ from fan favorites like Trina, Trick Daddy, Amara La Negra, Shay Johnson, Florence El Luche, and Zoey Brinxx, along with other cast members such as Bobby Lytes, Brooke Valentine, Chyng Diamond, Estelita, Eliza Reign, Marcus Black, Miami Tip, Ray J., and Princess.

But if you thought that the explosive season five finale was going to keep you on the edge of your seat — think again — as Angela “Blac Chyna” White is being added to the mix with her fiancé Derrick Milano.

This season, viewers will get a behind-the-scenes look inside the couple’s lives as they juggle love, spirituality, and ambition in the city’s vibrant music scene. As for how he feels about putting it all out on reality TV, Derrick tells Celeb Secrets host Juliet Schroder that he’s nervous in the best way possible.

“I’m nervous, but it’s good nervous. I’m excited,” the 30-year-old hip-hop producer, songwriter and artist explains. “I’ve done so much behind-the-scenes, especially when it comes to the music industry. I’ve worked with some amazing artists and collaborated with some amazing artists that a lot of the world doesn’t necessarily know yet, so I’m excited to see how they receive understanding a creative that’s able to maneuver in this world and be able to keep their integrity.”

As he makes the pivot from working behind-the-scenes to stepping into the spotlight, Derrick is happy to have a platform like LHHM to showcase what it’s really like to create music’s chart-topping hits.

“I’m locking in on it. I’m putting in the work. I really want to showcase the artist development. I think that is necessary and needed in the music industry right now,” he says of his transition from producer to artist. “I think that the biggest platform to showcase it is with myself on the show and by sharing what it takes to be center stage and really do this.”

Just how Blac Chyna is there for her lover every step of the way, Derrick reveals that viewers will also see how impactful he is regarding the 36-year-old’s spiritual journey.

“I’m one of her biggest support systems. I’m there with her through all of it,” Derrick shares with a smile. “I stand by her with all her decisions that she makes, and I’m just happy to be there with her and being that person to uplift her.”

With faith as their foundation, Milano is helping her achieve her dreams as a businesswoman, artist, and cultural force in the world. The power couple is determined to prove that love, ambition, and spirituality can coexist – even in the spotlight of Miami’s temptation-filled music scene.

“She’s two years sober, and that’s something that is definitely commendable because she stuck to her guns. She’s flourishing, and it’s so innovating because there’s a lot of people coming up to her and telling her how much she has influenced a positive change in their life… and that’s amazing to see,” Milano shares.

“Being on the show with her is definitely something that I’m excited about, and I think that the people are going to be excited about because we’re there for each other.”
