Disney Channel and Tastemade Partner Up For New Kids Baking Competition Show ‘Disney’s Magic Bake-Off’

Disney Channel is adding a little bit of sweetness to their platform by stepping foot into the baking competition scene with Disney’s Magic Bake-Off.

Disney has partnered up with media company, Tastemade, to bring us a 13-episode baking competition series that allows kids between the ages of 6 and 14 to test their skills as pastry chefs.

The show will be hosted by Disney Channel stars Dara Reneé (High School Musical: The Musical: The Series) and Issac Ryan Brown (Raven’s Home) and is currently in production with a project release date sometime this summer.

Disney’s Bake-Off will split the kids into three teams of two and have them race against the clock to design a Disney-inspired cake while using Tastemade’s signature recipe videos and ingredients from the “enchanted pantry.”

Along with Reneé and Brown, Disneyland resort pastry chef Graciela Gomez will also be there to help guide the kid bakers through a series of challenges, fun games, and unexpected twists. These are all designed to help the contestants better their baking abilities and techniques, as well as increase their creativity.

At the end of each episode, a team and their recipe will be declared the Disney Baking Champion and have their recipe video featured on both Tastemade and Disney Channel’s social platforms.

“The unsurpassed imagination and creativity of Disney paired with Tastemade’s attention to detail, premium aesthetic, and dynamic approach to the food genre make for an extraordinary partnership,” added Emily Mraz, head of Development at Tastemade. “Disney and Tastemade share a love for storytelling and are always looking for dynamic ways to engage audiences, so working together in this new way represents a truly special opportunity.”

With this magical partnership between Disney Channel and Tastemade, we’re sure Disney’s Magic Bake-Off will be a sweet success.
