Drew Parker Releases His Label Debut EP, “At the End of the Dirt Road,” Featuring an Extra Special Track With His Wife (Exclusive)

Drew Parker has officially made his major label debut under Warner Music Nashville!

As of today (June 2nd), Parker’s six-track project, At The End Of The Dirt Road, is available to stream on all platforms, featuring pre-released songs “At The End Of The Dirt Road,” “Middle of Nowhere Class” and his most recent single, “King of Country Music.”

According to a press release from Warner Music Nashville, the Georgia native revealed, “I’ve been working on this EP for nearly three years… I’m so excited for all my fans to finally hear it. This EP has a little bit of everything — love, heartbreak, nostalgia and a little beer-drinking honky tonk good time.”

“I’m excited to finally let everyone see the dad, husband and artist I’ve matured into over the last three years since my last EP release,” he concluded.

With the release of At The End Of The Dirt Road, Drew Parker is entering a brand new era of music, revealing to us that “with the release, I hope that [listeners] see the person that I am.”

“I mean, I’m a family man. I’m a very faith driven artist, you know, and I honestly hope that my parents are proud of this record… I think this shows how much I’ve matured since I moved to Nashville eight years ago and how far I’ve progressed as an artist, as a songwriter, as a husband, as a dad, as a son, as a brother, as a friend,” Parker explained to Celeb Secrets reporter Melanie Rooten in a virtual interview. “I hope that people just see that in it, but mainly just a good dude.”

When it comes to the individual songs featured on At The End Of The Dirt Road, Drew Parker revealed to Celeb Secrets, “I feel like I got a song on here for everything,” then he proceeded to elaborate on some of EP’s beloved tracks.

“If you know anything about me, I’m a songwriter and I enjoy writing songs, but I also know what it’s like to be a songwriter and want to have songs recorded by other artists, and I kind of wanted to make sure that nothing went unheard for me. I wanted to make sure that people sent me songs and that I would get to hear new songs that had been written and make sure I wasn’t missing out on recording anything,” the country crooner prefaced, prior to revealing some big news.

“Surprising enough, there are actually three songs on this EP that I did not write, which I’m super excited about,” Parker dished to us.

He explained, “One of them being ‘At The End Of The Dirt Road,’ which is written by my good friend, Jameson Rodgers, who sent it over to me a few years ago and I fell in love with it, and then a song called ‘I’ll Love You Longer,’ which is just a great love song that I love so much… and then another song called ‘King of Country Music’ that was written many, many years ago that we went and recorded and put a video out for already.”

“King Of Country Music” is an extra special track for Drew Parker, as it shares a very personal story AND features vocals from his wife, Mallory Parker.

“It honestly tells the story of kind of mine and my wife’s life. How we met. We met the first time she ever stepped foot in a bar, and how she’s been there ever since, supporting me and this dream that I’ve had,” he gushed.

When asked what it was like working with his wife on such a special track, Parker shared that she initially did not want to be a part of it.

After quite a bit of convincing, the Georgia native revealed, “We actually went and recorded that song on Valentine’s Day and made a whole thing of it, and it was super special to get to have her help me tell our story, to make a video for it and have our little girl there.”

“I mean, that’s something that we will have and cherish forever. Nobody can take that away from us, and so that made it just that much more cooler,” he concluded with a smile.

While the song is very meaningful to the Parker family, “King Of Country Music” resonates with listeners as well, with the talented singer-songwriter revealing that the feedback “has been great” so far.

“The song is about a guy who works a third shift and is working his butt to sing music, but I mean, I’ve gotten stories about people who are chasing a rodeo dream, you know… I got a guy chasing a dream of racing motocross, and so it’s super cool for people to insert their story and I mean, whatever that is, to have that person stand beside you and support you along the way and push you to be the best person that you can be, that’s what that song all about,” Parker explained passionately.

We can’t wait to watch “King Of Country Music” continue to climb the charts, along with the other five tracks featured on At The End Of The Dirt Road, but while we wait for Drew Parker’s hot new tracks to reach that number one spot, be sure to watch our exclusive interview with him below.
