Echosmith are back and better than ever in 2020!
The multi-platinum trio are gearing up for the release of their sophomore album Lonely Generation this Friday, which features the title track, their latest single “Shut Up And Kiss Me,” and other songs that reflect on the trio’s personal experiences over the last few years.
An uplifting and honest coming-of-age soundtrack, Lonely Generation incorporates vintage synthesizers and upright piano into a framework threaded together by inventive guitar work as the band ponders the beauty in our differences and embraces individuality. Lonely Generation is Echosmith‘s first independent release on the band’s newly formed record label, Echosmith Music, created in 2018 with Warner/ADA.
“We’re really excited about this album because we are able to make a lot of the creative decisions ourselves and with a really great team,” frontrunner Sydney Sierota tells Celeb Secrets. “It feels really good as an artist to be able to have that kind of freedom.”
The band will take Lonely Generation on tour next month, kicking off the North American headlining tour on February 12 in Washington, DC. The band will stop in major cities from coast to coast before wrapping in Los Angeles on March 5.
“We have so much new music to play on this tour, and I’m really excited to build the show. We’re working on some cool instrumental and intimate moments as well as a drum solo,” Sydney shares. “Playing songs for the first time live is always the best feeling.”
