Get your tissues ready, Marvel fans. Elizabeth Olsen officially confirmed that WandaVision won’t be returning for a second season.
The star broke the news in a conversation with actress Kaley Cuoco on their episode of Variety’s Actors on Actors series.
When Cuoco asks Olsen if she thinks she will do a second season, Olsen quickly responds, “No. It’s definitely a limited series.”

Cuoco jokes because her show, The Flight Attendant, was also supposed to be a limited series. After a successful first season, it got picked up for a second by HBO Max late last year.
Knowing Marvel’s history with bringing back characters, the WandaVision star adds, “I don’t know. I mean with Marvel, you can never say no. People die.”
Have no fear! This won’t be the last time we’ll see her in the MCU. The actress will be reprising her role as Wanda Maximoff/ Scarlet Witch in the upcoming movie, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which comes out next year.
WandaVision debuted on Disney+ in January and received high praise from TV-goers. It marked the beginning of Marvel’s Phase 4 lineup. The story follows Wanda Maximoff (Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) as they face unusual situations in their suburban neighborhood.
The show recently won the most awards at the 2021 MTV Movie & TV Awards.
