After releasing her monster smash “Revolution,” we thought it would be almost impossible for Ella Knox to put out better music. Clearly we were proven wrong, as her new song “Heart to Borrow” is straight FIRE!
Exclusively premiering on Celeb Secrets today, the vibey new track showcases Ella’s powerful voice and a danceworthy, thumping sound infused with a vulnerability that’s all her own.
“The song is simply about heartache and maybe instead of numbing your heartache medically or tragically .. you simply ask your friends for a heart to borrow.. you find it within you to ask for help.. ask for someone to listen.. whatever it may be,” Knox tells Celeb Secrets exclusively. “And I think as humans maybe we need to hear more of that.”
“Heart to Borrow” is the second song of Ella’s in 2018 and is the official follow-up to “Revolutions.” She does, however, have more music coming later this year, so make sure to keep your eyes peeled for it on her website.
Growing up in a broken home, Ella Knox found peace in writing music and formed a rock band in high school. She decided to attend university for a degree in biology as a request from her dad to have a better life, but Ella soon discovered that he wasn’t her biological father. Her world unraveling, she packed up her beat up Honda Accord and made the journey to California to connect with her biological father, quickly falling in love with the City of Angels and getting baptized into the hard knocks of Hollywood. Her music reflects her struggle, and her persistent attitude in moving forward on her own agenda.
