It’s been awhile since Emblem3 has been on the music scence, so when we heard they were dropping a new record AND going on the road for a mini-headlining tour, we could not contain our excitement!
Emblem3‘s new record, Forever Together, is a five song EP that was self-produced by band members (and brothers) Wesley and Keaton Stromberg with a little help from their friends Spencer Sutherland and Tyler Case. The record’s sound is more stripped down and mature, but still bears those catchy pop melodies we know and love.
We were fortunate enough to catch the “Forever Together” Tour when it stopped at the Starland Ballroom on Friday evening (November 14) in Sayreville, New Jersey. The sibling duo opened their set with “Teenage Kings,” their smash hit “Chloe (You’re the One I Want),” and “Reason.” Wes and Keaton’s fans, better known as their “Emblems,” were snapping photos on their iPhones and singing along to songs such as “Just For One Day,” “3,000 Miles,” “Girl Next Door,” “I Love LA,” and “XO.” As far as covers go, Wes and Keaton performed their famous cover of Meghan Trainor’s platinum single “All About That Bass.”
Emblem3 slowed things down with a special acoustic set of songs off their new EP Forever Together including “Forever Together,” Obsessed, Heavy, “Don’t Know Her Name,” and “Love Will Be There.” Wes and Keaton closed their 90 minute set with the song that started it all, “Sunset Blvd.”
Before the concert, we sat down with Wes and Keaton to see what they’ve been up to! In our interview, the guys chat about self-producing Forever Together, getting back on the road, that Jake Miller collab that we’ve been dying to hear, and of course, some juicy secrets!
