Our girl Emily Warren is back with another bop! This time it’s for herself and it’s called “Paranoid.”
While you may not know WHO Emily is, you’ve definitely HEARD her before. The 25-year-old is responsible for the songs you have on repeat. From Dua Lipa‘s “New Rules” to The Chainsmokers‘ GRAMMY award-winning “Don’t Let Me Down,” Emily Warren is a musical prodigy that’s putting herself in front of the camera with original music for herself.
With singles including “Capsize,” “Hurt By You,” and “Something to Hold on To” already under her belt, “Paranoid” is Warren’s latest release that will be on her upcoming debut album this August. The sonically bright single is bound to be on our playlists this summer and is accompanied by a black-and-white, noir-style mixed with Hitchcock vibes music video.
“My longtime friend — and the director of the video — Matt Porter, is the one who came up with the concept,” Warren told Teen Vogue. “We knew we wanted to do something that played on the idea of paranoia, [like] some kind of horror-movie, and since both of us are fans of Alfred Hitchcock and noir or black-and-white style [movies], this is what we landed on.”
