Hey CelebSecrets4U readers! We sure hope you tuned in to the 2014 Teen Choice Awards last night on FOX!
With crazy wardrobes to shirtless boy bands and AMAZING live performances from some of our favorite artists- this year’s Teen Choice Awards was one for the books!
The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles held the star studded event hosted by Sarah Hyland and Tyler Posey, where One Direction and “The Fault in Our Stars” raked in the most awards of the night!
Here are some of CS4U’s favorite parts of the show!
10. Sarah and Tyler Wardrobe Malfunction/ Switcheroo
The Teen Choice hosts are known for their numerous quick changes and gorgeous then wacky outfits! But we can tell you we sure were surprised when Sarah came out wearing board shorts and a baggy tee while Tyler rocked a coconut bra and grass skirt to which Sarah couldn’t help but crack a joke about “training coconuts” Good one Sarah!
9. Ariana Grande and Nonna’s Dance Moves
As Becky G performed her hit song of the summer “Shower,” we couldn’t help but love Ariana Grande more than we already do when the cameras flashed to her and her grandma dancing along.
8. Demi Lovato and Cher Lloyd Perform “Really Don’t Care”
Singing your choice “Song of the Summer” Demi Lovato kicked off the show from the audience as she performed “Really Don’t Care” with Cher Lloyd. Demi then accepted the first award of the night for Choice Music Star of the Summer, where she thanked Cher Lloyd for her input on the song before giving a small bit of advice to fans. “Everyone deserves to live a happy and healthy life. So be the best in everything because your dreams can come true if you work hard for them.”
7. MAGIC! Performs “Rude”
Introduced by Gregg Sulkin and Victoria Justice as the most Shazam’d song of the summer, one of the coolest moments of the night was watching the crowd dance along to MAGIC!’s hit song of the summer “Rude.” Any day of the week, if you turn on the radio, you’ll be sure to hear this song so it was no surprise that there wasn’t a soul in the auditorium standing up and dancing along. Celebs can be fans too!
6. President Snow Brings Berries from the Capitol
“The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” Donald Sutherland shared his confusion on the honor as he accepted for Choice Villain when he was in reality ‘kind and generous’… “So nice in fact that I brought you souvenirs from Panem,” said Sutherland as he began to throw berries into the audience, “they’re berries… I wouldn’t eat them if I were you.” Spoken like a true villain, Donald!
5. Shailene Woodley Dedicates Award to Strong Woman
“Divergent” and “Fault in our Stars” star Shailene Woodley took home numerous awards tonight for her role in both films. As Woodley took to the stage to accept her award for ‘Favorite Movie Actress’ in “Divergent” she spoke about her character Tris, who “was not born a superhero but gained bravery” through her experience- in turn dedicating her award to not only woman, but strong woman. “The truest form of bravery and courage is to wake up everyday and to be ourselves… and that is something that all of us have the opportunity and the choice to make each and every morning.”
4. Jason Derulo Wiggles
Superstar Jason Derulo ended the show on high note as he performed his hit song “Wiggle!” Fans went crazy as Derulo switched up the performance with an instrumental mid song for an intense dance break to show off his enviable moves. He then transitioned into another one of our faves “Talk Dirty to Me.” One thing is for sure, this guy never disappoints!
3. Zendaya Gives Heartfelt Speech After Accepting Candie’s ‘Choice Fashion Icon Award’
Shake It Up’s Zendaya Coleman was announced Candie’s ‘Choice Fashion Icon’ for 2014 and who better to present it to her than BFF, current Candie Girl, and Shake It Up co-star Bella Thorne! 2. ‘Maid in Manhattan’ Reunion
Everyone fell in love with the dynamic duo that was hotel maid Maria and her son Ty when Maid In Manhattan that hit theaters in 2002. Since then Jennifer Lopez has gone on to become a global superstar and Tyler Posey a teen heartthrob and actor in the hit series “Teen Wolf.” So when Tyler ran on stage to hug JLo as she got ready to present an award, you bet our hearts soared! “He’s so big!” Gushed Jen into the mic!
