Everything You Need to Know About Alice + Olivia’s Latest Collection – And the New Beauty Trends That Came With It

Every Fashion Week, all eyes are on Stacey Bendet‘s Alice + Olivia thanks to her bold styles and all-out presentations. This year was no different, as the trendy designer brought her latest collection to Highline Stages during New York Fashion Week on Saturday (February 10) for an afternoon that was truly one for the books.

This season, Bendet was heavily influenced by American artist Tom Wesselmann‘s works across multiple mediums such as collage, painting, drawing, and sculpture. After putting pen to paper and textiles to sewing machines, the designer seemingly created the newest fashion trend to hit the streets for Fall 2024, which she dubs as “Art Core.”

“He’s considered the ‘father of Pop art.’ After Basquiat and Keith Haring [collaborations], Wesselmann’s estate came to us and asked if we would do something,” Bendet said of the Alice + Olivia x Tom Wesselmann collaboration during a preview.

Sticking to the theme, guests were immersed into Bendet’s world of designs through highly-decorated vignettes that featured A+O’s iconic “Stace Face,” big bows, tweed sets, faux fur, punk rock ‘n roll-y looks, and florals that of course fit the color palette inspired by pop art.

And while all of Stacey’s designs were to die for, the stunning glam truly stole the show as pop art was seamlessly translated into wearable makeup thanks to Too Faced. Making sure that each beauty look matched the designs — without overpowering the main event — Too Faced’s Executive Director of Global Beauty Elyse Reneau was inspired by the 60s to create nostalgic yet timeless looks that are bound to be all over your FYPs real soon.

“When Stacey Bendet said that she was collaborating with artist Tom Wesselman, I got really excited by the idea of translating pop art into wearable makeup,” Reneau shares in a statement. “Creating dimension on the lips by playing up pink and red tones with strategic Moon Crush Highlighter used throughout makes the lips literally “pop” under light. The eyes are a nod to the 60s — think Twiggy meets Better Than Sex Mascara — and I created an optical illusion of oversized doll eyes with strategic eyeliner.”
