We’d like to introduce you to a brand new pop group called Cimorelli. Cimorelli is comprised of six sisters that all have the same passion for music. They have taken the YouTube world by storm ever since their cover of Miley Cyrus’ “Party in the USA” in 2009. Cimorelli has amassed nearly half a million Facebook fans and more than 350 million Youtube hits in the past four years.
They’ve since signed on with Universal Records with the help of Turn First Artists Management (Ellie Goulding, Rita Ora, Conor Maynard), and recently released their debut EP of 3 original songs (plus one cover) on December 4th titled “Believe It.” The group also unveiled an official video for the first single, “Believe It,” on the same day.
We were so fortunate enough to chat with the sisters of Cimorelli to get you the deets on why you should check out their music! Take a read below…
CS4U: You girls are all sisters! Can you tell us a bit about your dynamic?
Cimorelli: “We all have different personalities, some of us are really serious and others are not so serious..haha But we really work well together!”
CS4U: We know you love all styles of music, but which is your favorite?
Cimorelli: “Definitely pop!”
CS4U: How does it feel to be signed to a major label with over 1,000,000 subscribers on YouTube?
Cimorelli: “Amazing! We’ve been wanting this since we started our group in 2007 so it’s a dream come true to see it all happening now.”
CS4U: Can you tell us a bit about your EP that was just released?
Cimorelli: “It’s called The Believe It EP and it has songs; our newest original songs You Got Me Good, Wings, Believe It, and our version of Santa Claus Is Coming To Town. You can find it on itunes where it charted in the top 10 all around the world!!”
CS4U: What was your favorite song off the EP?
Cimorelli: “Probably our single from it, Believe It!”
CS4U: Do you have any Touring plans in the near future?
Cimorelli: “We don’t have set plans at the moment, but we are definitely planning on touring this year!”
CS4U: Since our website is called CelebSecrets4U, can you share one secret about yourself?
Cimorelli: “Before we moved to L.A, we performed in nursing homes!! D:”
