“‘Wanted You To Know’ is about the emotional whiplash of modern love — the kind where someone promises forever, and then vanishes the next day,” Grace tells Celeb Secrets Country in an exclusive interview. “I was inspired by women on TikTok talking about how they were completely blindsided after being told, ‘I can’t wait to get married,’ only to be dumped days later. That heartbreak — it leaves you confused, angry, and still in love, all at once.”
That bittersweet emotional tangle is at the heart of the track. Grace’s soft-yet-bold vocals paired with her warm acoustic guitar create a sense of intimacy that pulls you in and doesn’t let go. But it’s her clever, cut-deep lyrics — full of raw contradictions — that make this song sting in the best way. She sings:

Grace’s musical journey began in California, where she was raised until the tragic loss of her older brother Liam at just 10 years old. After relocating to Texas, music became her outlet — and eventually, her calling.

She’s earned First Soprano at the All-State choir competition, a two-time TAPPS winner (including for her original “I Am Found”) and has embarked on radio tours across the South, live NPR sessions, and — casual flex — recording at Abbey Road Studios in the UK.
