Not too long ago, we gave you the first listen to Izellah‘s new single “Treat You.” Today, we’re back with the music video for the emotionally raw ballad.
The Queensland-based, international pop-artist beautifully reflects the emotive qualities of the single throughout the music video. Showing a different side of her musical prowess, Izellah brings her vocals to the forefront, further solidifying her musical prowess at the ripe age of 12. Wise beyond her years, Izellah speaks of the importance of acceptance and respect.
“Treat You” is about a real life experience where someone treated me badly – probably because they didn’t understand me. So the song’s a bit sad but also a very positive one, as I can still treat someone well even if they aren’t like that to me.”
“Treat You” shows Izellah in a romantic, almost dream-like, room filled with flowers and an accompanying piano. The straightforward and genuine premise of the video brings attention to what Izellah is exactly saying. Though the room is beautiful and seems as though it’s an escape, Izellah’s words ring true to people of all ages.
