“When I wrote ‘Fake Tans, Fake Tits & Drug Problems,’ I was in between living in Long Island, NY (where I was born and raised), Miami and LA. The three places vary from one-another, but all share that common thread of superficiality,” the 20-year-old shares.
“The concept began about a friend who was dating a stripper her first year we were living in Miami. I said to JP and Ryan (the producer behind nearly the entire EP), ‘imagine that conversation if her mom ever found out.’ The more time we spent in the studio, the stories only got crazier and I realized how much shady shit goes on behind closed doors.”
Adding, “As much as we love to judge, none of us are above it all. In the end, we’re all the same— it’s just different variations of the same story.”
