Gabrielle Nevaeh Green and Courtney Lin Tease New Monstrous Adventures on New Season of “Monster High” (Exclusive)

Spooky season is officially upon us, and there’s no better way to celebrate than with new episodes of Monster High on Nickelodeon!

Everyone’s favorite monster boo crew are back to our television screens every weekday for the month of October, viewers will once again see Clawdeen Wolf, Draculaura, Frankie Stein, Deuce Gorgon, Cleo De Nile, Lagoona Blue, Toralei Stripe, Heath Burns and Headmistress Bloodgood discovering themselves in the the place they all belong — Monster High.

“People can expect love diversity and acceptance [this season],” Gabrielle Nevaeh Green, who plays Clawdeen Wolf, tells Celeb Secrets in an exclusive interview. “Clawdeen will step into her own. You’ll see an expansion of all of the character arcs and how they really rely on each other and support each other throughout the entire duration of the season.”

“I feel like this first part of the first season we cracked things open a little bit,” Courtney Lin, who plays Draculaura, adds. “For Draculaura, we learned that she loves witchcraft. Now, we’ll be going deeper into each of their identities and strengthening the relationships between all of them.”

This season, fans can expect to see their favorites battle a zombie invasion, a Night of Terror, hunt to find Monster Talismans, midterms and so much more, which will lead up to a monstrous season one finale at the Monster Ball later this fall.

As for what’s in store for Clawdeen and Draculaura’s friendship, Gabrielle and Courtney share that their bond will grow stronger than ever while navigating through their ups and downs in Monster High.

“It’s gonna be so expansive. I think with any real life friendship, the more time that you spend around each other, the closer you get, and of course there’ll be bumps in the road, but it’s about how you work them out,” Gabrielle explains. “And we’ll see that with Clawdeen, Draculaura, and Frankie throughout this second half of season one. You’ll really see them just grow and evolve and take on all of the monstrous challenges that they’re faced with.”

“Mistakes will be made,” Courtney laughs. “But you know, like [Gabrielle] said, it’s all about working through it and learning and growing from it. You’ll see what everyone has to contribute, all of the perspectives around every situation and what each person sort of brings to the table.”

And while they can’t wait for everyone to see every episode, the girls are particularly excited for viewers to see both Clawdeen and Draculaura learn that sometimes it’s ok to not be a leader all the time.

“There’s an episode down the road where Clawdeen displays that leadership can show up in many different ways, you know, and sometimes it’s okay to say, ‘Hey, maybe I’m not the best in this area. Maybe I’m not the best candidate to be in charge of this, so I’m gonna hand it over to somebody else.’ There’s a lot of strength and maturity in that to be able to give someone else a chance to shine, so I’m really excited for that episode to come out without spoiling too much,” Gabrielle shares.

“I think for Draculaura, she really likes being the best at things. She’s a little bit of a control freak, and she really likes to be, you know, number one all the time. There’s an episode where she sort of learns that there is more than one way to do things, and that it’s okay to not be number one all the time. Just to see her kind of go through that journey will really interesting to see,” Courtney adds.
