GiaNina Paolantonio Teases “Stupid Idiots” Podcast With Best Friend Sage Rosen (Exclusive)

GiaNina Paolantonio is making waves within the content creation space thanks to her killer talents.

Posting engaging videos on TikTok and developing a fanbase of nearly three million followers, the social media sensation has barely scratched the surface of everything she has in store.

Initially, GiaNina started to gain followers due to her presence on Dance Moms, however, her performing arts background did not begin there.

“Honestly, I feel like a lot of people that like just see me on TikTok don’t know that I have a Broadway background. It’s not technically a secret, but it’s just not talked about a lot because it was before I had a social media platform,” she shared with us backstage at VidCon 2023 in Anaheim last month, referencing her time playing “Amanda Thripp” in Matilda the Musical.

“I started working professionally at the age of eight, and then at nine is when like the whole Broadway thing happened. That’s actually where I learned how to sing and act. I didn’t take lessons growing up, and it was such a blessing in disguise because I learned everything I know now from that.”

While she says that just lifestyle content would have to be her niche, GiaNina makes sure to include singing and dancing throughout her various TikTok videos, ultimately staying true to her roots.

“I would say the main reason it’s so easy for me to put [dance] in my day-to-day like lifestyle content is because it’s literally what I do every single day. I’m just grateful that along with lifestyle content, people like seeing the side where I sing and dance. I just got lucky with my platform,” she gushed.

Aside from creating her must-see TikTok content, GiaNina about to jump into a whole new form of media: podcasting.

“My best friend and I, Sage [Rosen], decided to start a podcast called Stupid Idiots, because ever since we became best friends, he called me that. The Internet then started calling us that every time we were together,” she revealed. “It’s basically just back-and-forth chatter of the day-to-day things we do and crazy things we talk about. We can’t wait to bring our friends on and give the backstory of things like VidCon was like for us and when we go on vacation together.”

When asked who specifically she looks forward to having as a special guest, the multi-talented personality dished, “We can’t wait to bring our friends Kelly [Sweeney] and Gabe [De Guzman] on. They’re choreographers in the dance industry right now and they’re killing it, so we can’t wait to talk to them, and a bunch of people we are meeting here actually, we’re like thinking about bringing on.”

To top it all off, GiaNina teased yet another exciting project she has in the works, ultimately revealing to us that in the next year, she’s hoping to put out a lot more music.

“I took a break from [music] to let my voice mature [and] really figure out what I wanted to do. I think now I really know, so I’m picking up guitar soon. I would definitely say in the next year a lot of music is coming, but the podcast is what I’m so excited about,” she spilled.

When asked what we can expect from this new era of music, the New Jersey native shared, “My music has always been super real and super personal, and they’ve always been real stories, which is exactly what I wanna stick with, but I took a moment to live more life so I have more realistic things to share.”

“I’m taking a minute to live life to its fullest to have those memories created for things to write about and post about. I’m so excited to write more music about it,” she concluded with a grin, before going on to share some of her musical inspirations.

“I’ve always loved Taylor [Swift] since I was little, so I just love her as a human… I love Sabrina Carpenter‘s style of music and Reneé Rapp as well, because she started on Broadway,” she gushed.

If her new tunes sound anything like Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter AND Reneé Rapp, we know that she will be climbing the charts in no time.
