Hailey Bieber is spilling the tea.
The 25-year-old recently appeared on an episode of Alex Cooper‘s Call Her Daddy podcast, where she talks about everything from navigating her marriage with Justin Bieber to the public’s misconceptions attached to it.
As fairytale-like as the couple’s marital image has been, like having a dream southern wedding in South Carolina that included guests like Usher and Kendall Jenner in 2018 to their constant public display of affection for each other on social media, it’s safe to say that no union is perfect, even for this celebrity couple.
The Biebers have come out before about navigating their marriage. Justin discussed the couple’s first year of marriage with GQ in April 2021, stating,
“The first year of marriage was really tough because there was a lot going back to the trauma. There was just a lack of trust. There was all these things that you don’t want to admit to the person that you’re with, because it’s scary. You don’t want to scare them off by saying, “I’m scared.”
Recapping the couple’s history, Justin and Hailey started dating between 2015 and 2016. After their split, the “Peaches” singer rekindled a romance with Selena Gomez and called it quits for good in 2018. Later that year, Justin and Hailey reunited, soon after exchanging vows in a New York City courthouse in September and a traditional ceremony later the same month.
The Rhode skincare founder told Vogue in 2019 that reuniting their romance took some work, requiring that they work through “negative things” that still needed to be “talked about and worked through.” The model also admitted reuniting years later allowed them to work through their issues.
Selena and Hailey have had an awkward history of assumed tension, mainly due to their devoted fanbases. In May, Selena apologized after Hailey fans accused the songstress of mocking her skin routine video on TikTok.
Even though Hailey and Justin have been married for a few years now, there is still a rivalry between Selena and Hailey’s devoted supporters regarding the Biebs.
