The chart-topping singer will join the renowned DJs to perform their Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit “Closer” at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards. The song, co-written by and featuring Halsey, made it to the top of this week’s Billboard Hot 100 less than a month after its debut, and was also the most-streamed song in the country last week.
Additional performers throughout the evening include Britney Spears and G-Eazy, Ariana Grande with Nicki Minaj, Nick Jonas featuring Ty Dolla $ign, Future and Rihanna.
