Heather McMahan Is Bringing Laughs, Luxury, and FRESCA Mixed to the Fairway — And She’s Got the Tee to Prove It (Exclusive)

Let’s get one thing straight — Heather McMahan is that girl. Comedian, podcast queen, certified vibe curator, and now? Your new golf bestie.

The “Absolutely Not” host is hitting the green with FRESCA Mixed for a fresh and fizzy take on the classic country club sport, and trust us, it’s not your dad’s Saturday foursome anymore.

As the star of FRESCA Mixed’s brand-new chat series What’s the Tee? alongside TikTok sensation Jesse Solomon, Heather is on a mission to liven up golf’s beloved post-round ritual: the 19th hole. And if you’re wondering if cocktails, chaos, and cackles are involved? Babe, obviously.

“FRESCA was my favorite soda growing up,” Heather told Celeb Secrets in an exclusive interview. “FRESCA Mixed is frickin’ delicious. They sent me a big pallet of it and I was like, this is to die for!”

In the limited three-episode series, Heather and Jesse aren’t just talking shop — they’re flipping the tee table. From debunking golf myths to dishing clubhouse gossip (and maybe even ducking a surprise rainstorm mid-filming — yes, that happened), this duo is giving golf the glow-up it didn’t know it needed. The energy? Think: golf-core meets girl dinner meets GNO, and yes, you are invited.

“We’re basically harassing — in a loving way — other golfers on the course. We talk about what makes golfers tick and really just have a good time. It’s a giggle-fest,” she says.

Part of the brand’s Après Lifestyle campaign, What’s the Tee? is all about making golf less intimidating and way more inclusive — especially for women who might be curious about swinging clubs and sipping something bubbly this summer.

While Heather may be booked and busy with her national Bamboozle Tour (catch her at NYC’s iconic Beacon Theatre on May 30), she’s planning to trade the mic for a nine-iron this summer — preferably with a cold FRESCA Mixed in hand and her favorite 65+ lady gang from her Georgia club by her side.

“I’m gonna be at my club every frickin’ weekend this summer. Playing in the ladies’ nine-hole, gossiping with the gals. They really spill the tea,” she laughs. “And the older, the crazier — I live for it.”

Don’t let the laughs fool you — Heather’s got heart. Her passion for the sport is rooted in real life, growing up on the course and now watching her husband thrive as a golfer. She sees golf as more than just a game — it’s a lifestyle, and one that’s finally becoming more welcoming to women.

“It’s such an intimidating sport, but you’re never too old to start,” she encourages. “Take a lesson, go out there and just start. Even the pros have off days — it’s about the experience, not perfection.”

So whether you’re swinging clubs or just sipping cocktails in a cute matching set, Heather’s here to remind you that the 19th hole is about connection, confidence, and yes, maybe a little chaos.

“Even if you don’t have a great round, just go hang out in the clubhouse and socialize. Pop open a FRESCA Mixed and kick your feet up. That’s what it’s all about.”

And if you’re wondering what her golf girl aesthetic is serving this summer? Think moisture-wicking meets quiet luxury. Heather’s must-haves include: “a giant hat, a chicken salad sandwich, peanut butter pretzels, and a FRESCA Mixed.”

Yes, she really called herself a “peanut butter pretzel whore” — and yes, we will be quoting that for the rest of the year.

Beyond the course, Heather continues to wow fans across the country with her honest, hilarious, and often way too relatable comedy. On stage, she’s fearless — exposing the good, the bad, and the bamboozled.

“I talk about the most intimate parts of my life on stage. It’s cathartic. If I look a mess, the material’s probably gold,” she jokes.

She’s got big things on the horizon — another comedy special, a new TV show (shhh, secret for now), and hopefully, a whole lot more time on the course this summer. Oh, and she’s definitely lurking on the Nextdoor app for some low-key neighborhood drama. “Forget the Real Housewives,” she says. “Nextdoor is where the tea really is.”

So, whether you’re a total golf newbie or a cart girl queen, Heather McMahan and FRESCA Mixed are making sure the sport — and the sip — feels a lot more fabulous this summer.
