Here Are Our Favorite Paul Rudd Roles To Celebrate His 52nd Birthday

We’ll be the first to admit that we have a huge crush on Paul Rudd. Like, huge.

He’s funny, charming, incredibly well-spoken, smart, is good friends with Mark Ruffalo, and not to mention pretty good-looking, especially considering that he turns 52 today.

Yup, you read that right.

Today is Paul Rudd’s 52nd birthday and yet he still looks the same as when we first saw him in Clueless. It seems like many people, not just us, are amazed at the fact that he doesn’t seem to age. So, in order to celebrate him and his beautiful face, Celeb Secrets rounded up our favorite Paul Rudd roles.

From a wise English teacher to a teeny-tiny superhero, here is some of Paul’s best work. Don’t forget to send us your favorite on Twitter @celebsecrets and let us know how much you love Paul Rudd by leaving a reaction below!

Clueless (1995) – Josh Lucas

Although he played Cher’s (Alicia Silverstone) ex-stepbrother and they eventually end up together at the end (we don’t really know what Amy Heckerling was thinking), Josh was witty, a little bit nerdy, but wasn’t afraid to dance with Tai (Brittany Murphy) when she was alone at the party. He was the plaid-wearing boy next door, everyone had a crush on!

Friends (2002) – Mike Hannigan

Talk about a match made in heaven. Mike Hannigan was introduced in NBC’s iconic show, Friends, during season 9 when Joey (Matt LeBlanc) got Mike to agree to be Phoebe’s (Lisa Kudrow) blind date. Although it had started off as being a last-minute thing, some like to call it a lie, Mike and Phoebe ended up hitting it off and allowed us to fall in love with their cute dynamic. We would’ve loved to have gotten to know Mike a lot earlier in the show.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012) Mr. Anderson

There’s something incredibly comforting about Paul Rudd playing a friendly and wise English teacher in the movie-adaption of Perks. Even though his character doesn’t have many scenes in the film, the times we do get to see Mr. Anderson is when he’s being kind to Charlie (Logan Lerman) and offering him advice when Charlie asks for it. Hearing “we accept the love we think we deserve” being said by Rudd was heart-wrenching in the best way.

Ant-Man (2015) – Scott Lang

There has never been a better casting job than the one Marvel did when they cast Paul Rudd as the dad/former-convict/tiny superhero, Scott Lang aka Ant-Man. With Rudd being a dad himself, it’s almost like seeing him in his day-to-day life during the film. Except, he’s as small as an ant yet has the strength of Hulk. Scott’s relationship with his daughter, Cassie (Abby Ryder Fortson), is also absolutely adorable so it’s hard not to love him.

The Little Prince (2015) – Mr. Prince

Now, even though we don’t actually get to see him in the film, Rudd’s voice-acting as the Mr. Prince, in the film-adaption of the French book The Little Prince, made the storyline even better. His character was only around for a small part of the movie but it made us realize that we would love to see Rudd in more animated movies. He has a great voice for it and he can really depict emotion well. Guess that’s what great actors do!
