Here’s Everything You Need to Know About the Big Time Rush Reunion

Big Time Rush is reuniting for two live shows this December, and we cannot WAIT!

On Monday (July 19), the beloved boyband took to their social media platforms to announce their reunion shows. In the promotional video, we see separate clips featuring BTR members Kendall SchmidtJames MaslowCarlos PenaVega, and Logan Henderson. As each member is shown going about their day, they are startled by the words of a deep-voiced narrator.

The narrator calls on each member to join forces for “a comeback of epic proportions.” Once the narrator introduces the reunion idea, they all react with looks and words of confusion. To convince them, the narrator says, “The show must go on. The world needs Big Time Rush.” As the intro for the Big Time Rush theme song plays, the dates for the shows appear on the screen.

Last Monday (July 12), fans noticed that all of BTR’s social media accounts were wiped clean along with new red profile pictures. A few of the guys briefly hinted to keep an eye out for news on July 19. Maslow video chatted with fans on Cameo and told some to “pay attention to social media this Monday.” Meanwhile, Schmidt said that the “19th is gonna be a glorious day” in a Cameo video to a fan.

It was nearly twelve years ago when Nickelodeon first introduced the world to the group through their hit show, Big Time Rush. Since they took a hiatus in 2014, the guys have embarked on their own solo projects. However, after all these years, they have continued to maintain their long-lasting friendships.

Talks of a reunion have been circling since the moment they took a hiatus. Back in 2014, Schmidt spoke to Celeb Secrets at the 2014 Kids Choice Awards about the possibility of another tour, saying, “BTR hasn’t ever broken up, so I suppose whenever a good tour comes around, we’ll be there.” Four years later, he told us in an interview at the 2018 KIIS FM Jingle Ball that he would be “down” for a reunion.

Big Time Rush MADE our 2020 when they united to sing their hit song, “Worldwide.” Recorded in the safety of their own homes due to the pandemic, the guys made the video in an effort to send extra love to the fans during a time of uncertainty.

Who would’ve thought that a year later, we’d be getting an ACTUAL reunion?! Before the reunion shows go on sale, here is everything you need to know about the shows and how to score tickets.
