Here’s What You Missed At The “Run The World” Premiere This Weekend

The brand-new STARZ original dramedy Run The World just made a glamorous weekend premiere! Situated on the Beekman Hotel’s New York City rooftop, several internationally acclaimed cast members gathered to enjoy an exciting celebration.

Aside from giving Sunday night attendees a much anticipated sneak peek, every high-profile celeb was treated to enthusiastic tunes by DJ Tiff McFierce. To quench their hunger, guests also got the opportunity to indulge in some classy appetizers from world famous restaurateur Tom Colicchio.

So, you’re probably wondering: who were these lucky stars?! According to a press release, the screening event featured appearances from notable project members including producers Yvette Lee Bowser (Living Single, black-ish, Netflix’s Dear White People) and Leigh Davenport (The Perfect Find, Wendy Williams: The Hot Topic, BET’s Boomerang). Star-studded drop ins from the show’s very own cast include Amber Stevens West, Andrea Bordeaux, Bresha Webb, Corbin Reid, Nick Sagar, Jay Walker, Sasha Hutchings and James Chen.

In an attempt to highlight daily struggles of Black women who manage to dominate in an oftentimes degrading concrete jungle, Run The World follows the fictional lives of one particular clique. From revealing dramatic family moments to serious business accomplishments, the show aims to cover a broad spectrum of real life challenges from a candid lens.

Simultaneous with the launch party, Run The World made its official TV screen debut this Sunday. Fans who are eager for more will have to wait until new episodes are released on a weekly basis every Sunday at 8:30PM ET/PT via STARZ.
