In the midst of gearing up for the can’t-miss Summer Break Tour alongside Victoria Justice and Big Time Rush, rising pop sensation Jackson Guthy released the music video for his single “Roll” today on YouTube. Last week, he also released two new tracks, “Bad Boy” and “Brothers & Sisters,” that are now available for free download on his website JacksonGuthy.com. The two new songs give fans yet another taste of what’s to come on Guthy’s upcoming solo debut EP, “Launch,” which is slated for release this summer.
The new music video for “Roll” showcases the softer side of Guthy and provides visualization for the emotional heartbreak he conveys through the lyrics.
“I’m so excited to finally release the ‘Roll’ video and share it with my fans,” said Guthy. “This song means a lot to me, and I can’t wait to perform it along with my new tracks this summer on tour.”
At 17 years old, having performed alongside acts such as One Direction, Jackson Guthy has captured the attention of fans worldwide. From touring the country to working with some of the most creative and talented people within the music industry today, he has come a long way for someone his age. He got his start at the young age of four when his older sister lost interest in her piano lessons and he picked them up. At the encouragement of his parents, the Southern California native immersed himself in learning various instruments. Within a few years, he was writing his own songs at an impressive and prolific rate. Soon, he began performing live locally and turning heads within the music industry. His live rendition of his original track “Loving” on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” in April 2011 captivated audiences, press and fans alike. Adding to his extensive roster, Guthy also opened up the Big Time Rush “Better With U” tour alongside One Direction in 2012. And now with a second appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” and a bigger fan base under his belt, Guthy is preparing to release his debut EP “Launch” and embark on one of his biggest endeavors yet: opening for Victoria Justice and Big Time Rush on their 38-stop Summer Break Tour kicking off on June 21.
