JAXÂ is finally releasing some original music!
The New Jersey native has been busy in the recording studio since placing third on American Idol XIV. After Idol, JAX performed a sold-out New York City headlining show and unfortunately was sidelined with a diagnosis of thyroid cancer.
This did not slow her down as she since had her thyroid removed, has completed radiation, and is now back to great health. She returned to her love, music, and released her new song “Stars” earlier this month.
“Stars” is co-written with Nash Overstreet and is representative of the year that JAX has had. “I was in a dark place and it was really cathartic for me to be writing. I feel like ‘Stars’ was a turning point in the writing process for everyone. It represented me getting through one of the biggest obstacles of my life,” she said.
