The colorful hand-written note produced by the band members themselves answers any lingering questions fans may have about the album and its release date. Giving vital information about the project, the band signed the letter, “With Love, Chris, Jonny, Guy, & Will (and Phil) — a.k.a. Coldplay.”

The band has already given fans a taste of what this project sounds like, as they released the first track from the project, “Higher Power,” back in June. They performed this new hit at the 2021 BRIT Awards, as well as on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

Music of the Spheres follows Coldplay’s 2019 hit album Everyday Life, which peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 chart and led the Official U.K. Albums chart. Returning only two short years later with another project, the band has produced a whole new theme for this album.

Produced by Max Martin, Music of the Spheres includes a few tracks with titles that are just a single emoji. The theme behind this album seems to be about space and intergalactic visuals, as they teased in their “Overturaalbum trailer on Youtube. Check out the tracklist below.

  1. “[Planet emoji]”
  2. “Higher Power”
  3. “Humankind”
  4. “[Sparkle emoji]”

  8. “Biutyful”
  9. “[Earth emoji]”
