Jet Jurgensmeyer Spills Behind-the-Scenes Secrets From New DCOM “Adventures In Babysitting” – Exclusive Q&A!

We’re so excited for Disney Channel’s newest (and 100th) original movie Adventures in Babysitting!

If you’re not familiar with the movie, here’s the scoop. Inspired by the hugely popular 1980s film of the same name, Adventures in Babysitting centers around a dull evening for two competing babysitters, Jenny (Sabrina Carpenter) and Lola (Sofia Carson). It turns into an adventure in the big city as they hunt for one of the kids who somehow snuck away.

Celeb Secrets caught up with Jet Jurgensmeyer, who plays Bobby Anderson in the movie. Bobby is the Anderson’s middle child who is a chef wunderkind on a mission to find the perfect ingredient to add to his cupcakes for his junior chef competition.

In our interview, the actor talks about his favorite moments from set, some behind-the-scenes secrets from filming, and his new movie he’s currently working on called The Legends of the Hidden Temple, aka the reboot of the popular 90s game series! Make sure to check out the full Q&A below.

JUST IN: Adventures in Babysitting airs on Friday, June 24th @ 8PM ET/PT on Disney Channel.

Celeb Secrets: Can you tell us more about your upcoming movie, Adventures in Babysitting, and the character you play?

Jet Jergensmeyer: “Adventures in Babysitting is an action packed movie. There are two babysitters and five kids and we are really out on the town for an adventure. My character is Bobby Anderson. I play a wanna be Chef. I love to cook and I am always looking for new ingredients for my special recipes.”

Celeb Secrets: Adventures in Babysitting will also be Disney’s 100th original movie! Out of all 100 films, can you name your top Disney flicks?

Jet Jergensmeyer: “It is so cool every time I hear that. To know I am even part of something like this is so special. I have so many Disney movies that I LOVE! I am a big fan of “Nemo”, The “Teen Beach” Movies, The “Toy Story” Movies, “Frozen”, “Descendants”, “Bambi” and there are tons of others.”

Celeb Secrets: Do you have any memorable moments from on set?

Jet Jergensmeyer: “We have a rap battle that was a lot of fun to film. I don’t want to give too much away, but we really had a blast filming it. Also, at the gala I get to have my big moment as a young Chef and I had so much fun running that kitchen with all of these other cooks.”

Celeb Secrets: Out of all the films and projects you’ve done in the past, which was your favorite to do and why?

Jet Jergensmeyer: “I have enjoyed all of the projects and really been fortunate to work with great people. I have to say though that Adventures in Babysitting has to be right there at the top of the list. All of us became so close, we all really bonded and became a family. We still keep in touch and hang out. All of our parents even became really good friends. It was really something special.”

Celeb Secrets: Do you have any dream roles that you hope to play one day?

Jet Jergensmeyer: “I want to write, direct and produce. I would love to work with people like Tom Hanks. I think being in a project with him would be amazing. I could learn so much. I also want to grow up and produce projects with my parents. My family has businesses where they work together and my parents are producers. I want to grow up and work with them. I love the fact that my family has always worked together. It really keeps us all close.”

Celeb Secrets: On your Instagram, you’re seen playing the guitar quite a lot. Can we expect to hear music from you anytime soon?

Jet Jergensmeyer: “I really hope so, that’s the plan. I want to keep acting and playing music. I love doing both. I actually started playing music and singing even before I was acting.”

Celeb Secrets: What do you like to do when you’re not acting?

Jet Jergensmeyer: “When I’m not acting, I love to sing, play guitar and dance. I really do have the best of both worlds though. My family has a farm. When I am not working in CA or on set somewhere, I go to the farm and ride horses and 4-wheelers. I hang out with my family and just get away. We love to do outdoor things. We play a lot of sports and really just love spending time together.”

Celeb Secrets: Are you currently working on any other projects?

Jet Jergensmeyer: “Right now I am filming “Legends of the Hidden Temple” for Nickelodeon. I am having a lot of fun. This movie should be out in the fall and I can’t wait for everyone to see it. It also stars Colin Critchley and Isabela Moner.”

Celeb Secrets: Since we are Celeb Secrets, can you tell us about any of your hidden talents or a behind-the-scenes secret from Adventures in Babysitting?

Jet Jergensmeyer: “Well pretty much all of us in “Adventures in Babysitting” sing and dance. Between takes we would all be singing. At night when we would get back to the hotel, we would sing and dance and come up with skits, put together little shows, and do improv for our parents and our producer Michelle. We would all hang out each night and just had the best time.”
