For all of you missing out on Justin Bieber‘s Staples Center performance this Friday (Nov. 13), don’t fret! The “Sorry” singer just announced that he’s going on tour next year to promote his new album Purpose! Now you will all be able to see him perform live — if you can get tickets of course.
Justin made the announcement on Wednesday (Nov. 11) during his appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and even though he forgot when exactly the world tour would begin, The Ellen Show kindly displayed a small graphic on the TV informing Beliebers that the Purpose World Tour will kick off March 9, 2016. Tickets will go on sale next week, and if you watch the video above, Ellen has a little surprise for all of her fans.
Now, maybe it’s just a coincidence, but Justin’s new world tour is beginning right around the time One Direction‘s “break” is supposed to begin. Even though the boy band finished their final stop on tour, they have said that they will not begin their break until March. They still have their new album, Made in the A.M., to promote after its release this Friday (Nov. 13), which just also happens to be the same day Justin’s new album Purpose comes out.
Hmmm…we’re not quite sure what to think about this little rivalry, but we can’t say we hate it. Instead of crying over 1D’s hiatus, we can just go see Justin in concert. It’s a win-win really.
What do you guys think? Will you be getting tickets to Justin’s Purpose World Tour? Do you think the start date has anything to do with 1D? Tell us your thoughts in the comments!
