Kasey Tyndall is stepping into a bold new era with her first-ever full-length album on a label, and she’s making sure fans get to know the real her. The country-rock firecracker is releasing Kasey Tyndall today (February 28) via MNRK Music, and in an exclusive Celeb Secrets interview, she spilled all the details on what this project means to her, the stories behind her songs, and the personal growth that shaped it.
“It feels like my debut album,” Kasey shared, reflecting on how much this moment means to her. “I haven’t been able to put a whole project like this out in a long time, so it just feels really special. A lot of excitement, a lot of nerves — it’s all hitting me at once.”
From the moment she started crafting Kasey Tyndall, the North Carolina native knew she wanted it to be as raw and real as possible. “It’s a self-titled record because I wanted to reintroduce myself,” she explained. “I really am excited to connect with people on a deeper level by giving them a glimpse of all the different layers of who I am now.”
Those layers shine through in the album artwork, which features multiple versions of Kasey — each representing a different side of her. “I was talking with my label about how hard it is to answer the question, ‘Who is Kasey Tyndall?’” she recalled. “I couldn’t just pick one outfit or one picture to describe myself. So someone at the label said, ‘Let’s just do all of them.’ It was such a revelation for us.”
For Kasey, the most fulfilling part of creating this album was seeing years of hard work, persistence, and dedication finally come together. “When we finished picking out all the songs, it really hit me,” she shared. “Looking back on all the no’s, all the struggles, and then seeing this project complete, knowing it had a release date — that was my proudest moment. It was like, ‘Okay, I’m here. I’m ready. It’s my time.’”
Ahead of the album release, Kasey dropped the lead single, “Crystal Methodist,” a high-energy anthem that perfectly captures her Southern roots and playful personality. “It’s a nod to your crazy hometown,” she said, laughing. “Every small town has its quirks, but that’s what makes it home.”
The song fuses gritty guitar riffs with sharp storytelling, bringing to life the vivid characters and wild energy of a small-town gathering. “It’s quickly becoming one of my favorites to play live because the crowd just eats it up,” Kasey shared. “There’s something about the beat and the story that just gets people fired up.”
The music video — featuring TikTok comedians Brittany Smith and Justin Stagner — turns that idea into a full-blown backyard bash. “We made up this hilarious story about raising money for Brittany’s Meemaw’s hip replacement,” Kasey said. “Justin played the cop trying to shut the party down, and at one point, Brittany and I opened the door so hard we knocked him over. We could not stop laughing!”
The video captures the tongue-in-cheek nature of the song, embracing the mix of chaos and camaraderie that defines small-town life. “We wanted to show that while things might get a little wild, it’s all about people coming together,” Kasey explained. “It’s a celebration of imperfections.”
Beyond “Crystal Methodist,” Kasey’s album includes songs that highlight both her rocker edge (“Pulling Weeds,” “Wrong Side of Rock & Roll”) and her vulnerable side (“Not As I’ve Done,” “Middle Man”). “I’m re-releasing ‘Middle Man,’ which I originally put out during the pandemic,” she revealed. “It’s a song for all the kids of divorce, and I got to write it with my best friend Lainey Wilson. I’m so excited for people to hear this reimagined version.”
Another standout is “Famous,” which dives into the highs and lows of life in the spotlight. “It’s kind of a small vent session about the downside of fame,” Kasey said. “But at the same time, it’s exciting — it’s a song that really represents where my music is at right now.”
Her songwriting has evolved over the years, reflecting both her personal journey and the lessons she’s learned along the way. “I feel like every song is a piece of me at different points in my life,” she said. “Some are playful, some are deeply emotional, and some are just pure fun. I wanted this record to be a full-circle representation of who I am.”

Kasey’s journey wouldn’t be the same without the support of her tight-knit group of Nashville girlfriends, including Lainey Wilson, Ashland Craft, Meghan Patrick, Faren Rachels and Caroline Munsick. “We’ve all been close for years,” she said. “We were nobodies together, and now we get to watch each other grow and succeed. It’s incredible.”
Specifically, her friendship with Lainey is one of the most meaningful connections she’s formed in Nashville. The two met early in their careers and quickly became inseparable, sharing a home while trying to make their way in the industry. “Living with Lainey was such a defining time in both of our careers,” Kasey said. “We were both figuring things out, chasing the same dream, and lifting each other up through the highs and lows.”
Their friendship has not only shaped Kasey personally but has also influenced her music. The pair co-wrote “Middle Man,” a deeply emotional song about being a child of divorce. “It’s one of my favorite songs I’ve ever written,” she shared. “I wanted to give it a second life because when I first released it during the pandemic, it kind of got buried. It deserves a proper moment.”
Kasey and Lainey continue to support each other, both as friends and collaborators. “I actually co-wrote ‘Bar in Baton Rouge’ on Lainey’s new album,” Kasey said proudly. “It means so much to see her absolutely crushing it, and to still have that bond. We’re always cheering each other on, and she’s always giving me the best advice. She’s been through it and wants all of us to succeed.”

If there’s one thing that’s changed Kasey’s outlook on music, it’s motherhood. Her daughter, Sterling, played an unintentional role in the making of Kasey Tyndall — especially during the recording of “Famous.”
“She was headbanging in the studio,” Kasey said, smiling. “We had no idea that was in her, but she was standing on a chair just rocking out. It was the funniest thing.”
And Sterling is already her biggest fan. “She knows my voice,” Kasey gushed. “If we’re in the car and someone else’s song is playing, she’s just chilling. But as soon as my song comes on, she goes, ‘Mommy!’ and then claps when it’s over. It’s the sweetest thing.”

With Kasey Tyndall set to drop tomorrow (February 28), Kasey is gearing up for an exciting year, including tour dates with Megan Moroney. “We just announced a few shows with Megan, and I am over the moon,” she said. “Other than that, I’m just taking things step by step and letting this album find its way to people.”
So what’s the goal for 2025? “Connection,” she said simply. “This record has been my goal for so long, and now that it’s here, I just want to reach as many people as possible.”
With an album packed with powerhouse vocals, sharp storytelling, and a whole lot of heart, there’s no doubt Kasey Tyndall is about to have a massive year.
