Kate Walsh is reprising her role as “Dr. Addison Montgomery” in the upcoming season of Grey’s Anatomy!
“Well, well, well, would you look who it is. That’s right, my loves, Dr. Addison Montgomery is coming back to Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital and I’m so excited to be home again joining Shonda, Ellen and the rest of the incredible cast,” Walsh says in a video announcement to Grey’s fans everywhere on social media yesterday (September 2).

Walsh is best known for her roles in Private Practice, 13 Reasons Why and The Umbrella Academy, but made her first big break playing “Dr. Addison Montgomery” on Grey’s Anatomy. Her first appearance on the show, back in 2005, happened on the season 1 finale as Dr. Derek Sheperd’s wife, who finds out her husband had been hooking up with Meredith Grey.
From then on, Walsh went on to appear in 8 seasons of the show, while also getting her own spinoff series, Private Practice (2006-2013), which aired for 6 seasons.

Grey’s Anatomy will be returning on Thursday, September 30 only on ABC, and you can stream it the next day on Hulu.
