All your faves are headed to Capri to perform at the LuisaViaRoma charity event put on by UNICEF.
Taking place on July 31 2021, the charity gala will be hosted at the island’s historic Certosa di San Giacomo location.
Along with Katy Perry and John Legend, other A-listers expected to attend include Vanessa Hudgens, Heidi Klum, Natasha Poly, Jasmine Sanders, Jon Kortajarena, Cindy Bruna, and many more.
The event will feature a cocktail and seated dinner followed by a live auction of luxury items led by Harry Dalmeny, Sotheby’s chairman, U.K. and Ireland.
Items to be sold at the auction include Steve McQueen’s 1961 Cooper Formula Junior race car, a rare “Astronomia” watch by Jacob & Co., and a selection of artwork by Andy Warhol, Alex Israel, and Richard Orlinski.
According to WWD, the Florence-based luxury retailer’s chief executive officer Andrea Panconesi will be the host of the night flanked by UNICEF Italia’s general director Paolo Rozera and UNICEF fundraising chairman Tommaso Chiabra.
“Over the years, our partnership with UNICEF has always been centered around the common goal of helping vulnerable children. The global challenges of the past year have strengthened our commitment to this,” Panconesi said in a statement. “As a company, we must raise awareness on the extent of these social problems, trying to generate a positive impact.”
UNICEF has always been centered around the common goal of helping vulnerable children. The LuisaViaRoma event for UNICEF has helped raise 8 million euros across its three editions so far, the first two being hosted in Sardinia.
This year, the retailer’s contribution will support the repair work of Capri’s Certosa location in an attempt to preserve the institution.
