Kim Kardashian West Anticipated Hosting Debut on SNL Was Comedy Gold

Kim Kardashian West made her hosting debut on Saturday Night Live this past weekend and certainly did not disappoint.

While fans of the sketch comedy series were shocked by the announcement of her hosting the show, many were quite pleased by her performance. The wide variety of skits and monologues that were aired throughout the show already have over 2 million views and counting!

Throughout her opening monologue, The reality TV star praised herself on the passion she has for getting the wrongfully accused out of jail, which stemmed from her father. She also mentioned how she’s “so much more than that reference photo her sisters show their plastic surgeon.”

Kardashian West was not shy about roasting mom – Kris Jenner, all of her sisters, and estranged husband Kanye West.

When jabbing at Jenner’s boyfriend, Corey Gamble, she jokingly stated, “One thing I’m really proud of is that no one can ever call me a gold digger,” she said. “Honestly, I’m not even sure how you become one. So I asked my mom’s boyfriend Corey.”

In a series of skits, Kardashian West showed off not only her comical acting abilities, but even some musical skills, as she rapped alongside her cast members.

In “Ladies Night Out”, Kim and her girlfriends show what it’s like to have a night without men and kids, which means, going to the club to party all night. However, Kardashian West would appear to fall asleep mid-sentence throughout the club on her ladies night out. She stars alongside Cecily Strong, Punkie Johnson and Ego Nwodim.

One of the popular moments from the special came from The Bachelorette parody, where Kardashian West played the lead trying to pick the perfect suitor. In addition to the funny spoof of the show, tons of familiar faces made appearances, including Chris Rock, Jesse Williams, John Cena, Blake Griffin, Chace Crawford, and Tyler Cameron, who were all vying for the bachelorette’s heart.

The skit had a lot of viewers laughing in their seats while super surprised by the array of well-known celebrities who partook.

Kardashian West did not disappoint with her humor and hosting abilities throughout the night, leaving a memorable show for those who watched. You can now watch some of the skits on the SNL YouTube Channel or stream the episode for free on Hulu.
