Michael Costello Says He Was Suicidal Over Chrissy Teigen’s Alleged Bullying

It looks like Courtney Stodden isn’t the only one whose speaking out about Chrissy Teigen‘s bullying allegations. Celebrity fashion designer, Michael Costello, is the latest celeb to come forward about his encounter with the Sports Illustrated model.

The Project Runway star took to Instagram to opened up about the trauma that he went through due to Teigen’s harsh words.

“For the past 7 years, I’ve lived with a deep, unhealed trauma. I wanted to kill myself and I still am traumatized, depressed and have thoughts of suicide,” he wrote. According to Costello, a racist photoshopped comment of him was floating around, and Teigen publicly commented calling him a ‘racist.’

The fashion designer wrote in his statement that although he tried to reach out to Teigen privately, she told him that him that he that doors will close on him for her on.

“She apparently formed her own opinion of me based on a photoshopped comment floating around the internet which has now been proven to be false by Instagram and since taken down. When I reached out to Chrissy Teigen to communicate that I was the victim of a vindictive cyber slander, and that everything she thought I was is not who I am, she told me that my career was over and that all my doors will be shut from there on,” he explains.

Costello went on to explain that Teigen, along with celebrity fashion stylist Monica Rose, threatened people if they were to ever work with him.

Anytime Costello booked a job, he would be “pulled off last minute with no explanation,” causing the fashion designer to have suicidal thoughts. “So many nights I stayed awake, wanting to kill myself. I didn’t see the point of living,” Costello wrote. He even wrote a letter last week to his friends and family because he thought of taking his own life.

According to source from ET, “Monica Rose never bullied Michael Costello or told people not to work with him. She just simply didn’t like his clothes, so she didn’t pull from him for clients. That’s all it was. Monica is extremely upset about these allegations against her.”

In the same Instagram post, Costello shared the screenshots of the conversation he had with Teigen, where she continues to cyberbully Costello by telling him to “suffer and die.”

“Chrissy, I’ve never called anyone the n word. Those fake images were photoshopped from a former disgruntled employee,” he said. Teigen replied, “Good luck lmao hope that story keeps your already dead career going.”

He wrote back, ” I am suffering from this more than you can imagine. So many people are attacking me over this. It’s a fake story but your comment is adding more fuel to the fire.”

Teigen then responded, “good! racist people like you deserve to suffer and die. You might as well be dead. Your career is over, just watch.”

Costello closed off his statement with stating, “To this day, I am still not able to recover from the years of trauma I have experienced.”

The fashion designer’s posts comes hours after Tegien released a public statement and addressing her actions. In a Medium post, she explained that she was ashamed of her actions in the past, and is “in the process of privately reaching out to the people [she] insulted.”

“I’ve apologized publicly to one person, but there are others — and more than just a few — who I need to say I’m sorry to. I’m in the process of privately reaching out to the people I insulted. I understand that they may not want to speak to me. I don’t think I’d like to speak to me. But if they do, I am here and I will listen to what they have to say,” she said.

Hopefully one of those people she intends on reaching out is Costello. No one deserves that. Let us know what you think by leaving a comment or tweet us @celebsecrets.
