Lady Gaga is bringing Chromatica to the 2020 MTV VMAs!
The entertainer will bring her most recent chart-topping release to life at this year’s show, airing August 30th on MTV, where she is up for nine awards. She joins previously announced performers BTS, Doja Cat, J Balvin, The Weeknd, Roddy Ricch, Maluma and CNCO, clearly making it an unforgettable event.
Gaga’s highly-anticipated return to the VMAs will be her first since 2013. The Academy Award-winner and pop icon has had a total of 13 VMA wins throughout her career — her first win was in 2009 for Best Art Direction (“Paparazzi”) and “Bad Romance” won a total of 7 awards, including the much-anticipated “Video of the Year” award.

Last month, MTV announced this year’s nominees for the VMAs and to no surprise, Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga lead the pack with nine nods each, closely followed by Billie Eilish and The Weeknd with six nominations. You can view the full list of nominees here.
Fans can vote for their favorites across 15 gender-neutral categories, including “Video of the Year,” “Artist of the Year,” “Best Quarantine Performance,” and more by visiting vma.mtv.com through August 23, 2020. Voting for “PUSH Best New Artist, Presented by Chime Banking,” will remain open.
Hosted by Keke Palmer, the 2020 MTV VMAs air on Sunday, August 30th @ 8PM ET/PT on MTV.
