Since he was a child, Landon Forbes had a natural gift for performing. From commanding the stage in front of thousands of people in North Carolina churches to making quirky TikToks to his original music, the fresh-faced artist is quickly making a name for himself with his latest single “Teenage Visions” that’s been climbing the Spotify charts since its release in September.
Set to a chill Lo-Fi Indie Pop Surf beat, “Teenage Visions” is catchy, feels good and a really fun way to remember the summer. It channels the thrill of dreaming big with your friends for a kid who’s still caught in the daily grind of school and work.
“I always describe my style as alternative pop. ‘Teenage Visions’ has a modern guitar vibe and some of my favorite lyrics yet,” Landon tells Celeb Secrets. “The vibe on this one? Motivation.”
“Teenage Visions” follows previously released singles “Rebound,” which has over 1 million views on its music video, and “Find You,” which landed on Spotify’s “Music For A Workday,” “New & Cozy,” and “Pop til Arbejdet” playlists.
With his follow count consistently growing by the hour, Landon will be able to give all of his fans — both new and old — more music really soon, as the singer confirmed that new material is on the way, putting him in a great position to start the new year on a high note. “‘Teenage Visions’ is a small taste of a giant vibe I’m going to create,” he tells Celeb Secrets. “I’m constantly writing guitar driven music with a laid back feel. My team and I are working daily to create new content and music, so stay tuned, friends.”

Celeb Secrets: Congrats on the release of your new single “Teenage Visions” – for those who haven’t heard it yet, how would you describe its sound?
Landon Forbes: “I always describe my style as alternative pop. ‘Teenage Visions’ has a modern guitar vibe and some of my favorite lyrics yet. The vibe on this one? Motivation.”
CS: Was “Teenage Visions” written pre-or during the pandemic? Can you talk to us a little more about the studio day/creative process?
LF: “I began writing it pre-pandemic. It’s essence is something I have been trying to create since sixth grade. It’s a story of growth and change. I always say…. The difference in dreamers and doers, is actions. However, we recorded it during the pandemic. My producer got creative and drove from NYC to my hometown in North Carolina to record. We didn’t let the pandemic slow us down.”
CS: Since we’re Celeb Secrets, can you share a behind-the-scenes secret from recording the song that we wouldn’t know when listening to it?
LF: “The song was actually recorded in my bedroom in a make-shift studio over a two day period. My producer loaded up his studio equipment and brought it all to me so we could get it done. There will never be another song recorded quite like this one.”
CS: Who or what would you say has been influencing your music lately?
LF: “I’m in a season of experience. I’m hanging with friends and really trying to appreciate the world around me. My biggest influence lately and forever, are my best friends and current life experiences.”
CS: Is “Teenage Visions” a taste of what’s to come from your new music (if any is on the way)?

CS: You’ve been killing it on TikTok – do you have a favorite one that you’ve filmed so far? (or favorite memory from filming or posting one?)
LF: “My favorite TikToks are usually the ones that don’t get the most attention. My brother and I are allowed to get goofy and film together in hotel rooms while traveling and in public. So my favorites, are the ones filmed with him.
CS: If you had the chance to duet with anyone to “Teenage Visions,” who would you want to duet/make a dance with?
LF: “If I could duet with someone on ‘Teenage Visions,’ I would definitely choose Jason Derulo. I’ve been a fan of his music and flow for as long as I can remember. Also his TikTok page is one of my favorites.”
CS: What are some of your best TikTok tricks/tips to making the perfect video?
LF: “The best tip for TikTok is to try to create content that makes you happy. The majority of people want to see real, genuine content that brings a smile or a sense of mystery into their life. So focus on enjoying yourself more than making the video trend.”
