Fans were excited to see Liam Payne back on stage, but now they’re forced to wait a bit longer.
Earlier this month, Payne announced he would be back on the “Here’s To The Future” showcase as a host on Saturday, January 29. Unfortunately, he tested positive for COVID-19, and although the showcase won’t be canceled, Payne let the fans attending the live stream know about his results through a tweet along with the new date.
“Hey guys, I’m so sorry to announce that I’m having to push back the next Here’s To The Future show…,” he said. “Unfortunately I had COVID and will not be ready in time to give you the show you all deserve.”
He continued with, “We’ve decided to now do something extra special and move the show back a few weeks to Saturday 12th February, just in time for Valentine’s Day!! All your tickets will still be valid and I hope you can still make it. See you soon LP ❤️”

With a very happy photo, Payne tweeted his excitement as he would also be introducing new artists such as Just Stef, iamnotshane, Madilyn, and Lyn Lapid. Tickets to the live stream are still on sale at Liam Payne – Here’s to the Future – Veeps.

Payne isn’t the only artist who has been forced to postpone a show. Other artists have been left with no other choice but to cancel or reschedule their tours, festivals, and other presentations due to reports of a spike in COVID-19 cases this year.
Carlos Vives, Elton John, Adele, the 64th Annual Grammy Awards, Billy Joel, and Los Temerarios are a few of the artists that postponed their shows.
Vives postponed his Después de todo …Vives tour which had originally started in December. The Colombian singer would then be back on tour at the beginning of January in Seattle, but the tour was postponed until further notice.
Sir Elton John was also disappointed to announce his Dallas dates would be postponed after he tested positive with the virus. He shared the news with his fans via Instagram stories, “Hi everyone, wanted to send a message to let you know that I have contracted COVID and so have had to reschedule my shows in Dallas.”
Fans were forced to go easy on Adele after she shared an emotional video with her fans where she announced her Las Vegas residency would be postponed. She let fans know a day before the show that it’d be canceled after most of her team was “down with COVID.” Dates will be rescheduled and more information will be provided soon.

The anticipated 64th Annual Grammy Awards would have taken place at the end of January at the CRYPTO.COM Arena in Los Angeles, but the event was rescheduled to Sunday, April 3rd at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV.

Musician, composer, and songwriter, Billy Joel postponed his show at the famous Madison Square Garden until August 24. The show would have been on January 14, but through a tweet, “Piano Man” wrote to his fans, “Nothing is more important to me than the safety and well-being of my band, crew, and the fans; so due to unfortunate COVID-related circumstances, we made the decision to reschedule the January 14th concert at MSG.” – Billy Joel.”

The Mexican romantic group, Los Temerarios, decided to postpone their 2022 tour until next year because of “critical situations.” The tour would have started at the beginning of the next month. They informed their fans of the tour change via Instagram.
Some artists that decided were better off canceling their tours or presentations were Rina Sawayama, and The Fugees.
Sawayama announced to her fans via Twitter that her European tour dates were off “due to the ongoing restrictions.” Although she was disappointed with the bad news, she promised to return to Europe soon with “a bigger show and new music.”

The Fugees were so close to reuniting on stage after 15 years since their last appearance. They were going to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their album “The Score” and their reunion. Lauryn Hill posted a tweet, informing fans.
