After dominating the European vocal scene by the tender age of 13, Daneliya Tuleshova realized she needed a new challenge. As the youngest winner on The Voice Kids Ukraine and former Kazakhstan rep for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, Tuleshova knew she had a bright future ahead. But she needed a larger audience.
With the help of her top fan and loving mom, Tuleshova quickly packed her bags and travelled overseas to one of the world’s most competitive talent exhibitions: America’s Got Talent (AGT). From the get-go, Tuleshova blew the judges away with her mind-blowing rendition of Faouzia’s “Tears of Gold.” The stunning audition earned her an enthusiastic standing ovation from the entire audience and yes, Simon Cowell clapped too!

Ever since the powerful performance that’s garnered nearly 20-million YouTube views, Tuleshova has been gliding to new heights. She walks away from the coveted competition as a top six contender after getting the opportunity to collab with pop star Ava Max.
“This girl has a killer voice, watch out,” Max exclaims to the masses after singing “Kings and Queens” on the lit up AGT stage.
Although the talent show is long over, Tuleshova’s music career is only gearing into full swing. The rising pop sensation is releasing her debut single “Like You Used To” after signing with her first record label.
Launching today, the brand new love song details what it’s like to find yourself in a drawn-out relationship that should’ve ended ages ago. Tuleshova may still be in her earliest teen years, but her melodic and emotional voice will make you believe she’s been dating for decades!
Celeb Secrets had the chance to catch up with Tuleshova via email interview where she spilled the scoop on her musical inspirations and ambitions. The young vocal genius even dishes some shocking backstage moments, so be sure to read our exclusive Q&A to unlock more!

Celeb Secrets: What did it feel like to record your first single after performing as a top 6 finalist on America’s Got Talent?
Daneliya Tuleshova: “It felt like a dream come true. I have recorded many songs on my own, but for my YouTube channel and just for myself. It felt so different going into the studio and recording knowing this was going to be released by a label and is an original song. It was very fun but hard at the same time to keep up with my homework.”
CS: Can you describe the transition from singing competitions to creating your own music?
DT: “It’s very different. Usually in singing competitions you are singing covers that everyone knows and you have the energy of the crowd. In the studio, it is a new song that I had to learn and make my own and bring in my own energy since I wasn’t performing in front of anyone.”
CS: How would you explain the emotions behind “Like You Used To”?
DT: “As you say later in the interview, it is a bittersweet song about a relationship and while the lyrics are about being distant from your person, I think the beat is fun and catchy. Overall, I love the balance and hope my fans enjoy it as much as I do.”
CS: What inspired you to record such a bittersweet love song?
DT: “Honestly, Rich Fayden at the label brought it to me and I just really liked it. It’s about a relationship and something I think many can relate to.”
CS: Can we expect to see a music video for “Like You Used To” anytime soon?
DT: “I hope so, it has been challenging to try to get the logistics together with COVID, but I would love to in the future!”
CS: Now that you’re signed to a music label, do you have any aspirations to come up with an album?
DT: “Absolutely. I long to make a great album that people of all ages can enjoy.”
CS: Since you’ve performed in so many singing contests with swarming crowds, what are your tricks for combating stage fright?
DT: “I haven’t overcome stage fright actually. I still get really really scared where I literally think I will die. I overcome it by singing and then the fears go away.”
CS: If you could only pick one celebrity to have a duet with, who would it be?
DT: “Melanie Martinez or Chase Atlantic.”
CS: Since we’re Celeb Secrets, do you have any behind-the-scenes secrets from making “Like You Used To” that we wouldn’t know when listening to it?
DT: “It was written by Rich Fayden and Sony Music Director Henri ‘MGI’ Lanz. Many may not know this but MGI has worked with some of my favorite artists like The Weeknd, Pitbull, Sia, and Justin Bieber, so I was very excited when I heard the song.”
