Lizzo has made her highly-anticipated return to the music world, announcing the release date of her next single, “Rumors.”
The 3x Grammy award-winning artist has just announced that her upcoming single “Rumors” is set to make waves on streaming platforms, August 13.
The “Truth Hurts” singer took to Instagram to surprise her fans with her next project. To go along with the song cover art, she captioned the fierce photo, “NEW ERA BITCH. ‘RUMORS. ’ 8/13.”

Lizzo became a household name in 2019 when her debut record, CUZ I LOVE YOU, spent 24 consecutive weeks in the top 10 on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart.
The 33-year-old megastar had a rapid rise to fame, as she became respected within the industry and generated well over 5 billion global streams. Her upcoming single is bound to be successful, as she has created an impressive track record.
The fan-favorite single “Truth Hurts” became the longest-running No. 1 hit by a solo female rap artist in history after spending seven weeks dominating the top charts. Lizzo even became both TIME Magazine and Entertainment Weekly’s 2019 Entertainer of the Year, as well as gracing the covers of Rolling Stone and Billboard’s GRAMMY Preview Issue.
While gearing up for the release, the wildly talented artist is also set to appear at a number of music festivals this year. In fact, she will make history as the first woman ever to headline Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival on September 4.
The hitmaker has a busy few months ahead. The powerhouse will be taking center stage at the Global Citizens Live event on September 25, Firefly Music Festival on September 26, the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival on October 10, and Outside Lands event on October 30.
Lizzo will also take a trip home to Minnesota to headline a show at Welch, MN’s Treasure Island Amphitheater on September 11.
