Ludacris Says His New Music is “Beyond Crazy, Wild, and Ridiculous” As He Enters a New Chapter of His Career

Ludacris is officially turning the temperature up to a boiling point this summer!

If you’ve been paying attention, the three-time GRAMMY® winner, Fast & Furious icon, and world-class entrepreneur has been absolutely everywhere. Fresh off a massive 25th-anniversary celebration of his 3x-Platinum breakout album Back For The First Time, Luda is stepping into 2026 not just to look back, but to completely reclaim his crown as hip-hop’s most inventive storyteller.

With his first solo album in over a decade officially on the horizon, the Atlanta rap legend is letting the world know that his signature brand of larger-than-life energy is exactly what the culture is missing.

We caught up with the superstar on the red carpet at the 2026 American Music Awards in Las Vegas on May 25, where he was still riding high from headlining music festivals and hosting the iHeartRadio Music Awards earlier this spring.

“My voice is almost gone right now,” Ludacris laughed, completely unbothered by his packed schedule. “I was just last night somewhere, so yeah.”

When asked what he wants fans to understand about him entering this explosive new chapter of his career, Luda didn’t hesitate to point directly to his new music.

“Listen, if you go look at the ‘Pull Over’ video I just dropped, this new single, that will tell you everything that I want you to know about me,” Ludacris exclusively told Celeb Secrets. “Just carving this edge of just the word ‘Ludacris’ and what it truly means — beyond crazy, wild, ridiculous. That’s what I am. That’s what my visuals are. That’s what my music is. And I love [it], because I love to laugh, and I just love to have a good time. I think we need more of that in the world of today.”

If anyone knows how to have a good time on camera, it’s Luda. He proved it by reuniting with legendary director Dave Meyers (the mastermind behind iconic visuals like “Stand Up” and “How Low”) for his hit single “Pull Over.”

Produced by the iconic DJ Toomp, the track throws it back to the golden era of ultra-creative hip-hop videos. The blockbuster visual features everything from Luda crashing a car, transforming into an infant, frying a giant fish, and even getting a haircut with a chainsaw. Critics and fans are already calling it a masterclass in hip-hop storytelling.

Before the track even officially dropped, it caused a massive frenzy at HBCU graduations nationwide, where marching bands took over stadium football fields to turn the song into a stadium-ready anthem.

Proving that he’s just getting started, Ludacris has officially dropped his next summer anthem, “Real Hustla,” earlier today (June 12), featuring the unstoppable, GRAMMY®-nominated rap powerhouse GloRilla. Marking the first-ever collaboration between the two hip-hop titans, the track features a distorted synth loop, heavy 808s, and a chantable chorus that is practically built for poolside playlists. Fans can also get ready for a wild, cinematic music video for the track coming very soon to accompany the heavy-hitting release.

The duo actually gave fans a sneak peek of their incredible chemistry at the AMAs, where they shared the stage to present the “Song of the Summer” award to global pop juggernauts BTS. Following the star-studded night, Ludacris posted a legendary Instagram photo dump featuring candid moments with everyone from KATSEYE, and Teddy Swims to host Queen Latifah, John Legend, and Chrissy Teigen. The carousel effortlessly racked up over 1 million likes in record time, proving that everyone still wants to party with Luda.
