The Maine Announce First-Ever 8123 Fest In Honor of Band’s 10 Year Anniversary

Thursday evening, in a special announcement broadcast live from their Facebook page, The Maine announced the first ever 8123 Fest.

Taking place on January 20-22, 2017, the band will host and headline the festival in their hometown of Phoenix, AZ on January 21st in honor of their 10 year anniversary as a band.

Q&A: The Maine Talks Being a Band for 10 Years and Plans For Upcoming Album

Drummer Pat Kirch explains, “8123 Fest is us taking everything that has been a part of our band for the past 10 years and putting it all together for one weekend.”

The festival is the first time the band has ever attempted something of this nature. At three days long, there is no shortage of activities and events planned for fans. 8123 has partnered with local hotels and restaurants to bring out of town fans a full Arizona experience. On the festival grounds, fans can find exclusive meet & greets, access the 8123 pop up shop, visit The Maine art gallery, check out themed games, eat from Phoenix area food trucks and more.

Night one of the festival is exclusive to those who pick up the very limited 8123 Gold Bundle. Fans with this package will see The Maine perform their album Pioneer in its entirety in a very intimate setting. They’ll also be able to attend a live Q & A session with the band on the same day. Additionally, the 8123 Gold Bundle grants fans early entry to the 8123 pop up shop for first access to festival merch and early entry to the festival itself on the Saturday.

Early bird tickets will be sold at a discounted rate, and go on sale September 21st. These are standard general admission tickets, granting access to Saturday of the festival. Sunday will be a free meet & greet with the band for all fans – including those who do not pick up tickets – to make the tenth birthday celebrations accessible to everyone.

In the words of vocalist John O’Callaghan, “we’re not trying to take over the world, just trying to figure out where we belong within it. Thanks to the 8123 family, it’s becoming more and more clear that we belong and we belong together.”
