Marvel Studios has dropped the final trailer of Eternals, and we can’t hold in the excitement!

The film, which is directed by Oscar winner, Chloé Zhao, is set to take place after the events of Avengers: Endgame. A race of immortals beings with superpowers, who have secretly lived on earth for thousands of years, reunite to battle their evil counterparts, called Deviants. The trailer gives us a sneak peak of the evil creatures the immortals will be fighting, and the reason as to why the Eternals didn’t interfere with Thanos.

In the beginning of the trailer, Ajak, played by Salma Hayek, explains to Richard Madden’s character, Ikaris, “Five years ago, Thanos erased half of the population of the universe. But the people of this planet brought everyone back with a snap of a finger. However, the events has caused an unexpected conflict for them, ‘The sudden return of the population provided the necessary energy for the emergence to begin. Unfortunately, they only have seven days.”

The rest of the star studded cast includes: Kumail Nanjiani, Lia McHugh, Brian Tyree Henry, Lauren Ridloff, Barry Keoghan, Don Lee, and Angelina Jolie.

Marvel chief, Kevin Fiege, spoke with Entertainment Weekly, on his experience working with Zhao. “The truth is, we would not have even attempted this if it weren’t for Chloé, We thought, here’s a filmmaker who is equal parts cinematic visionary and genre nerd. She can outtalk any of us when it comes to manga and Star Wars and Marvel comics.”
