Michael James is gearing up for the music video release for the title track off his debut country faith-based project “Good News,” and Celeb Secrets has your first look at the fun new visual that’s an absolute must-see.
Produced by Lukas Bracewell (Jake Owen, Larry Fleet, Stephanie Quayle), the 10-track offering promises to captivate audiences with its infectious melody and heartfelt lyrics. The lead track is a fun, carefree tune that Michael says “defines where [his] life is right now.”

According to the budding country crooner, the song came from a title he had in his phone that he “had no idea what to do with.” But after inviting his good friend and songwriter Eli Gable over for a co-write in his living room — and after a lot of laughs later — the dynamic duo, along with his longtime producer Lukas Bracewell put together the song that you hear today.
“My favorite memory from making the song has got to be the day we tracked the drums in the studio,” he recalls to Celeb Secrets. “I had 3 of my real close friends in there hanging out and jamming a very stripped down, unfinished version of the song.”
Showcasing his unique voice and killer guitar skills, Michael wanted to put together a “simple but professional” visualizer that best suited the song. Teaming up with Big Red, the up-and-comer landed on just that — “one location, one camera and a bunch of different takes chopped together to make the video that is online,” he shares.
And while he had an absolute blast filming the entire clip, Michael James says his favorite memory from the shoot was the beautiful weather they were oh so lucky to have.
“My favorite memory from filming this video was honestly just how beautiful the day was. Blue skies, sun shining, and about 90 degree weather,” he reveals. “This video was filmed in about 30 minutes before the videographer and I went to bus call that evening. We also filmed it on the side of a road at a public farm so there were cars driving by while we were filming.”
Michael James is a rising star in the country music scene. Growing up near the beach on the south shore of Long Island, his love for country music was sparked when he attended a Kenny Chesney concert with his father at the age of 13. From that moment on, Michael knew that music was his true calling. Soon after, his athletic background playing football and basketball came to an end due to multiple concussions. However, it was country music that helped him find himself again.
Determined to pursue his passion for music, Michael saved up money from part-time jobs and bought a guitar at the age of 19, teaching himself how to play through YouTube tutorials. Since then, Michael has opened up for country acts like LOCASH, Restless Road and Carolyn Miller. His natural ability to connect with his audience is undeniable, and his music tells his own stories in a way that is relatable to everyone who listens. His love for Jesus is a significant factor that inspires him to create music that uplifts and encourages his listeners.
With his unique style and strong faith, Michael James is on his way to becoming a household name in country music. As for what’s next, Michael James plans to play some “fun shows,” get in some songwriting sessions, and “game planning” with his team for the upcoming year.
