BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend is slowly releasing their full lineup!
BBC Radio 1 began hosting Big Weekend, a free music festival held once a year in a different location throughout the United Kingdom, in 2003. It features a large collection of Pop, Rock, Dance, Hip Hop, and Contemporary R&B music. This year, morning show host Greg James revealed the location for 2019’s Big Weekend will be Middlesbrough in North Yorkshire, England.
The full line-up hasn’t been publicized yet but Miley Cyrus and The 1975 will take their headlining slots alongside Little Mix, Mabel, Khalid, and Zara Larsson.
In 2018, Big Weekend took place in Belfast, Coventry, Perth, and Swansea with over 175,000 tickets available to the public. This large event featured popular artists such as Ed Sheeran, Liam Payne, Taylor Swift, and so many more.
This year’s headliners are beginning to share their excitement with fans about this two-day festival taking place on May 25 and May 26. Read their reactions below:
