Miss America 2017 Savvy Shields partnered with IHOP this week to promote National Pancake Day and help raise funds for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
Yesterday, Savvy met with patrons and helped deliver and flip pancakes at an IHOP restaurant on Sunset Blvd. in Los Angeles, California. IHOP first started National Pancake Day in 2006 as its signature day of giving. This year, IHOP has a goal of raising $3.5 million to support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and other charities.
Each year, the 170 member Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals throughout North America provide the finest medical care, life-saving research, and preventative education to help millions of kids overcome diseases and injuries of every kind. Each year, Miss America serves as the National Goodwill Ambassador for CMN Hospitals to help raise funds and awareness throughout her year of service.
The Miss America Organization is proud to continue raising funds for CMN Hospitals, its national platform partner since 2007, to support their mission of providing quality health care to millions of kids across the country.
