For Mona Kattan, fragrance has always been about more than just how you smell — it’s about how you feel.
That sentiment came to life on Thursday night in Los Angeles (November 6), where the beauty mogul and Dubai Bling star welcomed creators, editors, A-list socialites — and the Celeb Secrets editors, of course — into an immersive world celebrating FREEDOM, her most personal KAYALI collection yet. Each space at nya WEST reflected a chapter of Mona’s own journey through scent, texture, and color.
Held at nya WEST, each space reflected a chapter of Mona’s own journey through scent, texture and color while keeping the installations inspired by one of the four musk-based scents from the FREEDOM collection — Freedom Musk Bouquet | 27 ($32), Freedom Musk Santal | 34 ($138), Freedom Musk Matcha | 45 ($32), and Freedom Musk Latte | 41 ($32).
Our journey began with “Freedom Musk Bouquet,” a whimsical floral paradise with a winding trail of blooms, a sweet treat, and a bracelet infused with the scent for guests to take home. Next came “Freedom Musk Santal,” an ethereal room filled with bubbles and fog that danced around in the soft, sultry light.
Our favorite? “Freedom Musk Matcha,” which was a mirror-filled green dream complete with swings and matcha ice cream. For the final stop, “Freedom Musk Latte” brought us into a warm, Arabic-inspired space draped in luxe fabrics where guests sipped lattes while soaking in the golden glow.
Each room was so thoughtfully designed, making it feel like the were actually walking through Mona’s heart and vision. Every scent told its own story, and by the end of the night, we didn’t just smell beautiful… we felt beautiful.
And the fun didn’t stop there. Just beyond the installations was a stunning main party space glowing in KAYALI’s signature hues. Everyone mingled around a bespoke bar with cocktails inspired by each scent, danced under the lights, and layered fragrances at an interactive fragrance bar featuring the entire KAYALI lineup.
Then came the night’s biggest surprise: Grammy-winning artist Kali Uchis taking the stage for an intimate performance that electrified the crowd. Just like KAYALI’s FREEDOM collection, Kali embodies unapologetic self-expression, making her the perfect artist to soundtrack the evening.

Before we headed home, Mona gifted us and everyone in attendance a personalized, engraved bottle of the new fragrance. It was a chic reminder of a night that was all about empowerment, artistry, and, of course, scent.
Mona herself was glowing all night long, taking photos with fans, dancing, and personally thanking guests for being part of the celebration. “Freedom is more than perfume, it’s a reminder to embrace who you are, unapologetically,” she said. “Our tagline, ‘Find Your Light,’ is about discovering your inner power and letting it guide you.”
It’s clear Mona put her heart and soul not only into this collection but the entire launch party. From the scent to the space to the stunning finale, the KAYALI FREEDOM launch gave guests the formal invitation to step into their own power and shine.
