This week, we are introducing you to a fresh new country artist that goes by the name of Austin Webb–a singer/songwriter that is ready to make a name for himself in the world of country music.
Austin grew up in Greenville, S.C. listening to healthy doses of Motown, R&B, rock, and retro country from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. He also loved authors like Oscar Wilde, O Henry, Walt Whitman and Dylan Thomas, and started writing poetry at nine years old. He knew he was going to be a writer of some sort, and at 16 when he picked up a guitar; he began pouring out his emotions into songs.
This past year, Austin made his Grand Ole Opry debut and was asked to return for several other appearances. He just completed The Country Deep™ Tour, presented by AT&T U-verse®. The six-week, 14-market run took Webb, Jana Kramer and Canaan Smith around the Southeastern region of the United States to perform at various venues. Austin’s latest single, “Raise ‘Em Up,” is an energetic, party anthem that will make you want to ‘raise ‘em up high.’ The song is all about letting go, having fun and enjoying life.
CelebSecrets4U caught up with Austin Webb during the 2014 CMA Music Festival in Nashville, Tennessee. In our interview, Austin talks about his experience at CMA Fest, his new single “Raise ‘Em Up,” touring with Jana Kramer, and where we can see him and his music in the near future.
