Happy Monday, readers!
Meet our new “Music Monday” artist this week, Sammi Sanchez.
Sammi Sanchez is a rising Latina pop singer that has been blowing up the Radio Disney airwaves with her single “Butterflies” and her latest track “Talk,” which is now available on iTunes!
Sammi began expressing her passion for singing, dancing and acting at the early age of seven. Shortly after turning eleven years old her family relocated to New York City where she decided to pursue music, dancing & acting more seriously. Soon after, she began taking professional vocal, dance and acting lessons. After going through some rigorous auditions at the age of twelve, Sammi was accepted to the Professional Performing Arts School (PPAS) in Manhattan. She attended PPAS for the next four years until opting for homeschooling in order to take her career to the next level.
What inspires Sammi to perform? Using music to help people. She loves that music can help people escape and heal. She hopes that listeners can relate to her music in some sense, or in the very least feel good and dance their way through her songs.
CS4U headed out to the Northern Los Angeles area to watch Sammi film her music video for her latest single “Talk” and chat all things music! In our interview, Sammi chats about “Talk,” being inspired by Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez (is it just us, or does she remind you of them?), and embracing her Latina roots by singing in Spanglish. She also shows us a creepy (yet super cool) hidden talent that we totally wish we could do ourselves!
The official music video for “Talk” is finally out! Make sure to watch our full interview with Sammi and the music video below and purchase “Talk” on iTunes here.
