K-pop music group NATURE has made a striking return to the spotlight. With two enticing new projects under their belts, NATURE has set out to not only honor their talent with a lively new single, but a mocku-series to give fans a glimpse into their world.
Released in January, “RICA RICA” takes listeners through a kaleidoscopic mix of sounds and beats. In an exclusive interview with Celeb Secrets, members of the group dished on what made this electric single stand out to them and why it was the perfect choice for their comeback.
Member Haru shared that for her, it was the track’s addictive nature that pulled her in.
“I thought it was the most addictive song out of all the songs I’ve ever heard,” Haru said.
Reflecting on the track, member Loha added that the song’s ability to capture “the bright energy of NATURE” fascinated her.
“Wow, how did this song come to be?,” she pondered. “It’s so fascinating and the more I listen to it, the more addicted I get to it.”

But beyond capturing their bright energy into a song, the girls have released a scripted four-episode series. The group shared that they hope viewers have more than one takeaway from watching. Most notably, to read between the lines.
“I hope that you know that it’s a fake documentary with acting,” said Sohee. “The title and the content are stimulating, but I hope you enjoy watching the video and think that it’s part of your step forward.” Sharing a similar sentiment, Chaebin added, “NATURE is full of individuality and charm, and our opinions were not reflected all in the mocku-series.”
While the series may be scripted, their hard work and talent is anything but. The group dished on what it takes to operate a multi-member success story. For them, passion and teamwork truly is key.
“Regardless of what you do, wherever you go, you need to have good teamwork and a positive mind,” Sohee explained.
Celeb Secrets sat down with the members of NATURE (virtually) to talk all about “RICA RICA,” coming back into the spotlight and what is to come for the K-pop legends. The group not only gives a look inside their dynamic, but shares a few behind-the-scenes secrets from filming.

Celeb Secrets: Congratulations on all of these exciting new steps! From “RICA RICA,” to the mocku-series, how does it feel to have all of these milestone releases?
Sohee: “I feel relieved!”
Aurora: “I was worried if LEAFs would like it.”
Saebom: “I was worried because it was my first time doing this, but it was good to be able to build up our comeback.”
Chaebin: “More than anything else, it was best to show our fans how we’ve been doing.”
Haru: “I’m so happy that I got to know a lot about NATURE after watching the Mocku!”
Loha: “Honestly, I was worried if people would relate, but I hope you know that all the artists and staffs work hard for one album.”
Uchae: “I hope that many people watch and know us.”
Lu: “I feel relieved. I was frustrated that I couldn’t tell the fans because I’ve been hiding it since last year.”
CS: For the mocku-series, what do you want fans to take away from it when they watch?
Sohee: “I hope that you know that it’s a fake documentary with acting. The title and the content are stimulating, but I hope you enjoy watching the video and think that it’s part of your step forward.”
Aurora: “Our desire to meet LEAF again.”
Saebom: “I hope you know that NATURE is working really hard.”
Chaebin: “NATURE is full of individuality and charm, and our opinions were not reflected all in the mocku-series.”
Haru: “I hope you can feel that NATURE members are all fun and receive energy just by looking at them.”
Loha: “I hope you know that NATURE always does its best to meet our fans and always thinks of our fans!”
Uchae: “I think it’d be good to know that NATURE made a comeback with the song ‘RICA RICA'”
CS: During filming, what was your favorite memory while creating the four-episode series?
Sohee: “I remember the part where we made our own album while thinking about the fans the most! I was excited and happy to give the album that I made to the LEAFs after a long time.”
Aurora: “It’s my first time filming a mocku-series, so I feel fresh.”
Saebom: “It wasn’t on the air, but I had a lot of fun writing a letter of resignation with members together.”
Chaebin: “We were able to make a comeback after a long break.”
Haru: “We made the only album in the world for LEAFs. It was so nice to give a special gift to our fans.”
Loha: “Since I’m with the members in every situation, I can’t choose just one, but every moment was fun and happy.”
Uchae: “I liked that we had a lot of time to spend together.”
Lu: “It was nice to show you my daily life with the members.”
CS: What inspired the lively sound in “RICA RICA”?
Aurora: “Everything.”
Haru: “I thought it was the most addictive song out of all the songs I’ve ever heard.”
Loha: “I think it’s the bright energy of NATURE.”
Chaebin: “I want to soothe my depressed mind because of COVID-19.”
CSC: How do you want listeners to feel when they listen to “RICA RICA” for the first time?
Sohee: “I hope that you feel that it’s very addictive.”
Aurora: “I hope I can make you happy!”
Saebom: “It might be unfamiliar at first, but I hope you get addicted to it!”
Chaebin: “This song is addictive and It’s exciting.”
Haru: “If you listen to ‘RICA RICA,’ you’ll keep thinking about it, make you want to listen to it, and feel that you’ll listen to it every day.”
Loha: “Wow, how did this song come to be? It’s so fascinating and the more I listen to it, the more addicted I get to it.”
Uchae: “I hope you feel happy when you listen to it when you’re having a hard time or depressed.”
Lu: “Exciting feeling.”
CS: Can we anticipate a music video for “RICA RICA”?
Sohee: “Yes! Please look forward to our choreography that fits perfectly!”
Aurora: “Yes, please watch it a lot.”
Saebom: “You might be flustered because it’s a performance video and it’s a different music video, but I hope you watch our choreography.”
Chaebin: “Yes, please look forward to it.”
Haru: “This time, we only filmed performance videos, but we can show you our energetic and cool performances a lot!”
Loha: “Since it’s a special album, there’s no official music video, but you’ll be able to see a lot of fancy choreography in the performance music video.”
Uchae: “Yes, I think you can look forward to it as much, as we worked hard filming it in a cold place.”
CS: Since you started, what has been the biggest lesson as a girl group?
Sohee: “Regardless of what you do, wherever you go, you need to have good teamwork and a positive mind.”
Chaebin: “Rather than getting bitterness in your heart, say something.”
Haru: “If we perform while enjoying it, the people who are watching will be able to enjoy it!”
Loha: “I really felt that not everyone can be an artist, and I respected all the artists who worked hard, endured, and overcame all these processes.”
Uchae: “Teamwork is important.”
Lu: “It’s a precious opportunity to go on stage.”
CS: Beyond these projects, what is next for NATURE?
Sohee: “While working on the project, I consistently recorded several songs. Our albums are continuously prepared, so please look forward to it!!”
Aurora: “I can’t tell you, but you can look forward to it.”
Saebom: “We prepared a lot for the next album, so you’ll be able to see a lot of NATURE this year.”
Chaebin: “To meet the fans, we finished recording the next songs.”
Haru: “Since we haven’t shown you our sides until now, so we’re going to show you a lot of our energy!”
Loha: “We’ve started recording songs for other albums, and after RICA RICA, we’ll be back with a variety of images. Please look forward to it!”
Uchae: “We’ll meet more fans and come back with better performances, so please look forward to it.”
Lu: “I’ve been preparing for it. We’re preparing for the next album.”
CS: Since we are Celeb Secrets, is there any behind-the-scenes secret from filming the mocku-series or recording “RICA RICA” that we wouldn’t know just from listening or watching?
Sohee: “In order to Make ‘RICA RICA RICA PPONG’ more fun and lively, composer YOONMYUNGSUN came into the recording booth and recorded it happily.”
Aurora: “While I was practicing hard to show you a better performance, there were many holes in my socks.”
Chaebin: “Not all of our opinions were included, but we had a lot of fun while filming it.”
Haru: “There’s a scene where we’re shocked to see the dance, but I thought it was cool and amazing. Since it’s a fake documentary, I was acting like that.”
Loha: “I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to do activities and had a hard time because I broke my ankle while practicing RICA RICA. But everyone around me worried and took care of me, most of all, thanks to the members who took care of me the most, I was able to get better quickly!”
Uchae: “We’re preparing songs with more concepts, so please look forward to it. Please look forward to it!”
Lu: “Composer YOONMYUNGSUN visited for two weeks to record “Dear Leaf” and gave us lessons. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you.”
